✿ 未来が見える : Flow© ✿

The smooth surface, Almost mirror like, Watching it unknowingly, I entered its flow, Unconsciously submerged by it, Fighting to grasp the sky, Before being pulled down again, Following it’s flow, Unable to turn back, The road is set; I shall head to sea, Can you see the future? 未来が見える is 10 years old!! :: Happy 10th Birthday! A Reflection of 10 years.

*This was a scheduled post, and was written before 16 October 2015, hence the reason why it still sounds so upbeat. I've amended it a little only to reflect the current situation, but left almost all of it as initially drafted.*

I just realized, but 31 October 2015, marks the 10th Anniversary of my blog. 10 years!

What a long way I have come, since then.

I apparently started this blog on 31st October 2005, whilst I was in my first year of Law School / University.

(I know for a fact that I meddled with the date of the first post, so this blog's actual birthday is either before or after that date, but I can't remember the exact date - so let's all just forget bout that technicality here lol)

The design of this blog is thanks to ccymie who kindly designed the current outline of the blog in 2007 according to my specifications, and I have not been inclined to change the design at all all this years. (Though if and when he has the time I may need some help with some html codes on the sidebar for outdated apps.)

The theme for the blog, being "Flow" where I chose water as the main premise, since water is ever changing, and conforms to whatever container you put it in; it can be gentle and it can be cruel; it's unpredictable.

Which, is in line with this blog's main focus of being unable to see what the future will bring us i.e. I still stay by the theme of this blog that the 'future is unpredictable'; and that the 'fight to rise once again' is till ongoing as a daily battle. But that's a different story for maybe another day, and/or different audience.

While due to work commitments I had became less active over the years in posting anything at all.

Since I rather spend my spare time catching up on my sleep or other things than racking my brains thinking about posting anything. I've honestly also become more reserved about what I want to share online with people who know me, and what I would like to share with strangers, if any, do read what I write.

I also went through a lot career wise. My direct superior and senior left the team at the same time i.e. in April 2011, forcing a 3 man team into a 1 man team, with the same amount of workload, if not more. Hence the lack of posts from that duration on wards. I did write intermittently during that tough time, so maybe I will retrieve what I wrote and post them later. Those will be backdated though, I think..

And also due to some ex acquaintances, who for a lack of a better word were nosy, stalking, gossip mongers, I had for many years made this blog only available for private viewing - it's public again now, and if you don't like what I post then just don't read or follow this blog.

(I'm in a position now where I seriously don't give a damn about your opinions. It's not like you are losing anything financially or your quality of life by what I post here. So don't waste your time reading something you don't like. i.e. No one is forcing you to read my mindless and lengthy ramblings...)

I did skim through my posts from this past 10 years and all I can say is that, the me of the past 10 years, rambles a lot, curses a lot , procrastinates a lot (I probably still do all three a lot?), has a weird sense of humour(?), freaks out a lot close to exams, took a lot of random online quizzes, and again... Rambles a lot.. Ahh, those were the days...

Amongst my favourite posts from the past that I found during my skimming - be wary of Manglish - I had this habit of not checking what I wrote for grammatical/spelling errors, and used SMS spellings all the time as well:
Poems I wrote: here, here, here, & here.
Me freaking out over my revenue law assignment
Mother's Day in May 2008
Me Freaking out before the CLP/Malaysian Bar Exam lol
Sister's Birthday Card in August 2008
Precious in his Younger Years in August 2008
My Singaporean Cousin, who is the first to classify my alien-ism as an Amoeba, lol

Anyway besides all the random ramblings, whining, complaints, weird posts.. etc..  (I actually read Shakespeare.. Such a nerd! lol) I apparently live a very uninteresting life, since all I do is work; I don't hold interests in things long enough usually (read: short attention span.. lol..), and I'm apathetic to almost everything that won't cause me or people/things/other living beings, I care about, any financial, physical or psychological harm. I guess overall, I am just not that attached to this world.

But I digress... Back to the topic at hand...

This Blog's 10th Anniversary!!

~~

Well, in this year of 2015, to be more precise 31 October 2015 (darn forgot those html codes to make the words blink =.='), 10 years has come to pass since this blog officially had it's humble beginnings...

So.... After 10 years..... What's different? Besides the recent loss of Baby (which I will not address further here).

I've started a new chapter of my life, since as of 1 April 2015, for a duration of one year I was stationed in the land of the rising sun.  In a so-called secondment by my firm to work as an assistant professor in a certain university here.

After this stint i.e. in April 2016 I'll be going back home; don't get me wrong, while I love Japan, I don't love living here for the long term due to various reasons that I decline to mention in this post, or it will be never ending.

All I can say is that after Japan, I will need to seriously rethink my future, do I want to keep slaving away at my current law firm, or review other options? (Which are all probably in-house options.)

One thing I can say for sure is that in 2005 when I started law school, I knew I wanted to be a lawyer, and I never considered being a lecturer. So I didn't bother with a LL.M.  (that's the minimum educational requirement to be a lecturer - besides my bar school offered an LL.M from some Australian University that I've never heard of till this day).

I did consider doing a masters, maybe a LL.M or MBA, since it seemed it might be better for the corporate world, if you hold a directorship or something, (your profile would look a little nicer in the prospectus lol) it could be advantageous, but I've met some lawyers who don't hold any masters at all, and they are doing fine... So I digress...

Anyway back to the topic at hand, now 10 years after the start of law school, I spent about 7 years of that being a corporate lawyer and now I'm an assistant professor at a Japanese University, in Japan obviously, and I must say, to be frank, I still cannot imagine myself in the teaching profession.

I rather be out there as a lawyer or an in-house counsel. I honestly prefer drafting/reviewing contracts to preparing power points. Talking to clients than to students. You could say I've rediscovered my love for drafting here.

Maybe I'm still considered young; maybe I like the corporate world better than the academic world; maybe I'm too used to what I have in the corporate world that moving to the academic world seems like something I can't get accustomed to; or maybe it's a case of who moved my cheese.

The corporate world isn't all rainbows, chocolates, roses, puppies or sunshine either, the long hours I spend slaving away, dealing with crazy people etc. The toll on my health... Both physical and psychologically... But I think in my personal view that it's more challenging and interesting as compared to where I am now.

Maybe I'm not being utilized to my full potential here at the university, so I feel this way, but I digress, that is a can of "what ifs" that I will probably never have the chance the open in this lifetime.

Or maybe, if I ever do fall in love, get married and ever have kids, maybe.... Just maybe.... I will find what I have now more appealing....

So here's to another 10 years! To the future where I hope that this blog and/or I'm still around then, or that still remember about this blog and will post something. Cheers!

back

from the 26th of april 2010 (Sunday) till the 2nd of May 2010 (Sunday) i was in China with my family and my aunts (from my mum's side) on a tour...well holiday..

overall it was nice... scenery was beautiful... food was ok, learnt new things bout the culture... they have 52 minority tribes.. and wow... the women wear the pants in some of those tribes, (and the men.. are damn lucky...house husbands... imagine..)

and there's a well... really interesting tribe... (men didn't need to take responsibility at all,) haha... weather was okay too.. loved the cool/cold weather.. well downside? with china... you know it's the toilets... then again back home here we have really disgusting toilets too... so what the heck... at least 50% of the toilets we went too were okay.. i notice they have a problem with flushing.. it's smelly and disgusting, cause they can't flush... water system has a huge problem =.='

souvenir wise it was really difficult to buy anything.. why? well, cause everything is made in China, you can buy it back home... as for the food stuff.. i went to kun ming, dali, li jiang, and one more place... can't really remember.. but there was a hot spring there? haha... i guess that's what you get when you mandarin is only 40% usable??

anyway... i couldn't buy tidbits either for my colleagues, cause it was almost all yak meat... which i don't think my indian colleagues can eat, cause it's like a cow?? and my muslim colleagues either.. cause i'm not sure if it's halal.... =.=' so in the end i bought whatever i could... some preserved... sourish, saltish thing.. (shin mui kind of thing...)

also along the way i didn't really get quite a number of explanation from the guide, and had to rely on the tour leader and relatives to explain what was going on... but in the general sense... i got what was going on.... so guess it was ok?

but on the 2nd day? i think.. i fell ill.. it was a bit too cold for me.. and smart ass me, didn't wear a jacket to sleep. so i practically freezed to death... and caught the cold.. arghh suffering... especially when i had to fly (from li jian to kun ming... and the worse was kun ming to home..)

it was so dry, my throat ended up so damn sore, i almost lost my voice.. and my skin broke out in rashes, cause it was so damn dry... (either it;s the dryiness or the flu medicine.. which i think could be the medicaiton...cause i didn't get this rash in hte UK) and am still suffering the effects now as i sit here, sweating like a pig here typing this... (cause i got used to their weather, ours is too hot now.. practically bathing in sweat ) =.='

so again, the scenery was really beautiful, especially at the lake and mountain shall upload to Face book when i've the time. oh yeah, i made a new friend too... it's nice :)

but a little weird thing happened.. on friday night (30 april 2010), i dreamt that my boss was unhappy bout something, and then after that he seemed happy.. =.=' (it was like, he was unhappy i wasn't in the office? and happy again when i was back in - guess that's cause i'm back to do the work...?? =.=' i get that feeling.... i swear honest to god, it really felt like he was happy again in the dream cause i was there to do the work... =.=' weird right?)

so when i got home on the 2nd of may (at night, tired like hell, and still down with the cold...not really done unpacking...) you know that naggy feeling you get??

so okay, i check my email, and i see something from him... a number of his comments.... and you know.. (i'm a really impatient person), i don't profess to be a genius.. i admit i learn slow... and i'm a visual learner.. that's why i learn faster when i've something to read/compare, like a text book, or a sample document... (lately my attention span is quite short too.. and usually i don't like those really thick text books anyway, but the simple straightforward books)

so yes, i don't like the damn thing either, and would like to get it done and over with too.. i didn't stay till 11pm on the 23rd of april to finish it so that i had to redo it/add on to it, and make my dad have to come all the way down to the office to pick me up, cause it was 11pm and no one could drop me at the train station.

so thank you very much for your comments. i've been doing the work from the start, and forgive me, but my brain really can't process anymore, i see it as it is.... and you as a fresh brain... well thank you for your comments............................................. really.......... i don't know if it's inexperience or what.. but i really couldn't pick out the points you did..=.='

anyway, another point of annoyance.... oh wait.. ermm, let's say the good stuff first... a nice old malaysian chinese man... okay not that old, maybe bout my dad's age, let me cut the line, so that i could board the plane with my family.... thank you nice chinese man...

on the other hand, the annoying point? was this malay man... maybe about... late 30's? or mid 40's? was an ass.... when the plane landed and people were disembarking, he was pushing me trying to get into the lane to get out.... hello?? you really shouldn't wear sunglasses in a plane on a night/evening flight, cause obviously you can't see that the lane between the seats was so congested with people, that i couldn't get out either, so all your idiotic pushing was for naught....

i don't give a shit if you are going to wet your pants there, you were just plain rude, so a big no thank you to your rudeness you middle aged malay man, and for irritating me, after a sort of pleasant flight...

(sort of, cause well... my cold made my ear hurt really bad during landing, and the fact that there was a problem with the plane's audio system... and the food was reallly, really horrible i couldn't eat it, and the air stewardess english was horrible... and.... that the plane was really small and cramped, and fully booked and had only two toilets..... yeah i think that's the end of the complaint)

yeap, i think that's it... i had a fun trip, slightly dampened by my lack of understanding in manadarin, and due to my cold, and the fact that no one.. i repeat NO ONE, would accompany me to the hot springs :( then again, i was already down with the cold then, so it was in some sense a blessing in disguise...

i bought a number of things for myself.. at a cheap price (hey it's China right?), namely? a name card holder, cheaper than what you can get it for back home... a blouse, and a jacket... well with the clothings, i hope they don't shrink after being washed.. (they kept me really warm too, so i think they should be ok?)

other than that.. there's really nothing much to buy there, (cause we can get it back home)... so it was a lot of scenery pictures.. it was a pity the cable car for the snow mountain was under maintanence... i miss snow... but it was still okay?

alritey... really tired from the trip, so need to sleep as tomorrow it's back to the office, i'm starting to wish that i had taken an extra day off =.=' but then again. i'm taking a day off this week for my physiotheraphy... sigh.... so i didn't take that one day....

so back to work tomorrow to face the shit... err work... and yeah.. drowsy from the cold medication.. going to hit the sack.. good night world...

sorry la... if this post sounds angry again, my dreams have been telling me that i've been holding in too much shit, and need to let it go.. hahhahaha... nitey all :)

i hope i can come home early.... cause tomorrow my dad is going to pick my precious up, i missed him so much throughout the whole trip =.=' baby~~~ come home to mummy ;p hehehhe

again, nites :p

:)

i think i'm more simple minded than i thought i am...

past few days, i've been a little emo bitch... (one can tell when i start eating sweet things i suppose.. well among other obvious factors that is....)

well, although i think today is the best i've been in the whole week? or two?

i guess what i need is good company... (good food is a bonus?) thanks dear XD
- second par lat chiu pan mee hahaha.. still tastes good with the right company :p but yes... kin kin... XD bila mau pegi?

had a good swim.. no muslce pains after!! i think a nice warm jaccuzzi and relaxing is the trick... i fell asleep in there.. hahah thanks nick :)

and yeah, to top it off, i think it would be even better if some people were to stop saying things which sounds to me like they are asking me to suck eggs....for these people.. sometimes, i feel like i'm on a different level, you know, the been there, done that level..... if you don't understand, then well try, before shooting your mouth... or just shut up, if you can't understand... how can one understand, when one knows nothing?? *shrugs* oh well, live and let live...

ようこそ2010、さようなら2009

The end of 2009, has come and gone, the beginning of 2010, is here... and well... it's just here..... we can't do anything about it....

it's just an excuse to eat and drink bla bla, yes, I'm jaded.... this is what life has done to me....

anyway, welcome to 2010 everyone, and good bye to 2009, and good riddance with that...

my last day of 2009 was filled with nothing but mishaps.. or rather, bad luck.... oh... i hate---d........ 2009... with passion.... well, to be honest the last day.... let's see what happened....

first the train was late... hmm that's a sign.. but oh well.... nevermind....

second i was expecting an email so that i can start my work early, finish it early, and fulfil my half day leave request....

bloody internet was down in the whole office, till at least 2 hours later... which meant that it would be impossible for me to leave at 1pm, the time i can leave since i had taken my half day leave... never mind... that's still swell....

happily away doing work, when..... with all honesty? i'm an idiotic git, I've no idea what happened, but i lost a good 2 hours of my work... i was seriously going WTF!!! and fucked up did i feel. felt so stupid for trusting the idiotic, retarded laptop, and not saving my work periodically...

i spent/wasted almost an hour, a god-damned hour, trying everything i know to get it back, but couldn't... i thus decided to breath, and resign myself to re-doing the work... thanks dear, and everyone else for hearing me curse and emo at my beloved office laptop..
(i think, it's taking revenge, cause i accidentally dropped it the other day.. eventhough there's no damage.... =.=' or so, i hope haha)

was really fucked up plus frustrated, cause try as i might, i could not get back the original muse of what i had written for the opinion, in which at that particular time, my muse was floating like....... ermm... well, smoothly.. and try as i might, i felt that what was reproduced was.... only second par... yes, was very unhappy, and very fucked up.... nevermind...

discovered firm will close at 3pm....... so.. since the document died on me, and i had to waste time, i was definitely going to be there till after 3, so emailed to cancel leave.. pointless to take something you can't, idiotic even....

nevermind...... i wanted to go to the bar council... then i found out, it bloody closed at 12!!! never mind!!!

i lost a button on my mobile, a button i frequently used...... so now the convenience is gone..... (breathes) nevermind!!!!

friends decided to go to i-city, nothing there, total waste of time and petrol..... nevermind......

nevermind, nevermind.... it's 2010....

i still got to watch my fireworks, front seat, beautiful view...
i was with great company the entire night...

so, it was a horrid fucked up day, but yes, my start of 2010 was much better, i had my wine (although you could say.. ermm.. i was a bit hung over the next day), had good friends/company, saw a really cute toy poodle puppy, (though precious is still the only one for me) and yes, that made my night... thank you..

ーOracl3-

oh yeah, visited a 98 (i think) year old relative of mine.. which i don't think i knew existed till today.. wow! coolness.... she's amazing, still strong enough, mind still well enough, and eyesight still good enough... :) ahh~ family

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

Contentment...

What is contentment?

contentment, is happiness in a.... i don't know what... can't think right now.. haha (thinking of watching Fringe haha)

i am contented cause i had a wonderful dinner :)

after almost more than 6 years i think.... (could be more...) i had banana leaf rice... at the lotus, jalan gasing.. (i could be suffering a bout of amnesia, but that's when i last remembered having eaten banana leaf rice... at that exact restaurant too haha)

yum, yum.. stomach is nice and contented... (unfortunately i was starved and finished it without taking a picture.. sigh.. oh well... )

but i remember the fried chicken.. the savoury mutton.. and oh, oh the fish cutlet... melts in your mouth... *slurp* i really liked the fish cutlet :p

and what made it even better? wonderful company XD

ahh~ as they say the company is really important :) they make the food taste even better... hehe Thank you dearie hehe... you're the best XD

-Oracl3-

p/s: err the tag "Achievement" is there, cause i think its an achievement that i finally got to eat banana leaf rice after so long haha XD

good night everyone :)

やた...

I'm done with the twilight series, well was done yesterday. so all 4 books gone..

What can I say about it.. hmmm~ well... the English was okay, fairly simple to understand, not the type where you've to reach for a dictionary every few words, that made reading it quite fast as well I guess... simple english... i didn't feel the need to reach for the dictionary at all actually...

Story wise... if I weren't crazy bout vampires (and supernatural stuff, and mysteries etc..)... I might not have picked it up?

Writing wise... ermmm.... okay, I guess? it was in the first person point of view... words/sentences used were... very teenager-like... some things felt a bit stupid like.. "a scream wanted to escape my throat but for Edward's hand" (something along those line if you get my drift) or something like that... but ermm.. I can't place my finger on it.. but I find lines like that stupid.... maybe I read too much Tolkien? =.=' i need more dramatic description...? haha

I mean storywise, if you tell me a huge vampire coven is coming after you... that's okay... but.. ermm.. starting from about the 3rd book onwards..? the writing style.. didn't agree that much with me... or maybe it was the plot.. I think it was the plot... somehow it didn't appeal that much to me...

the first book was more intruiging.. suddenly i get werewolves and crap.. that was all still okay.. the way she got me in suspense... by first describing an animal bigger than a bear.. which we later find out to be wolves... but not any wolves.. but those wolves.. and those people... but going on to the 3rd and 4th book.. i felt the plot a little weak, and sort of rushed...

and a bit crappy.. why did her powers suddenly became so damn powerful??? like.. errr..? i find that part kind of irritating... (too cliché perhaps? the reason why i don't watch much anime anymore, you know dragon ball and stuff.. no offense though...) whatever, it's a supernatural story.. so yea.. if you read it with an empty head... (it's suitable for leisure reading) it's nice.. overall, it's okay.... (once i overlooked a number of stuff, which I had decided to, to make reading more pleasurable) so still not that bad a read, if you love supernatural stuff, and vampires like moi haha..

Should have taken some pictures...

Satoshi Kun and Huey chan should recall this..

For my birthday some years back, the two dear souls awarded me with a koala wrist rest for the computer with little glow in the dark hearts in it...

It's lasted me some good years... am sorry for my abuse, am really am.. I loved the thing.. cute to look at.. nice to poke and squeeze... ahh.. squeeze....

Anyway... it's a little soft plastic koala filled with a sort of gel and little pink glow in the dark hearts, and it was on my table for years? Yeah, I think years... till......

Today....

Was ermm.. utilizing it and then its little stopper popped out, spilling its goo onto my table and the floor.. it was fun to play with?? (amidst screams from my mom that it was disgusting and possibly held some dangerous substance in it and insisting i clean it up) but it looked plain ol' disgusting as well.... I should have taken pictures of it before I cleaned it up... (Unfortunately I will have to lay off my mom's description of what it looked like, but I will say that between what she compared it to, she thinks it looks more like mucus haha disgusting!! so she says :p kekeke)

I saved some of the glow in the dark hearts, but all suggestions to re-inject the goo into koala was stubbornly rejected by my mother, so it was bye-bye koala...and that's the end of my koala, shall need to shop for another one.. or.. ermm hint, hint? haha.. (I think I'll shop for a cute doggie wan haha)

On another note, legal aid today was fun.. (usually is..) and we planned to go somewhere together once our stint is over... and to decide.. gosh.. put a bunch of lawyers-to-be in a room to decide something and you get funny things like elections, re-elections, appeal courts, supreme courts and consent judgements coming out... haha.. hilarious..

Earlier, a few (namely a friend and I???) of us had decided on the date before hand.. then we raised a meeting.. (Law people might find this more humorous? sorry...)

First, we ran elections to chose a place?...(we were torn between two locations) and had elections, by-elections, and re-elections? (we joked that we were worse than Perak haha since we kept shuffled between the two locations ) = We voted for a place amongst ourselves (there were only 10 out of 14 of us.. so we were still the majority...) again and again, and again..

The decision went from the high court, to the court of appeal to the federal court and supreme court (meaning, we had serious problems deciding where to go..)

it was a 5-5 vote so we gave our team leader the concession to vote again, and..... the results were out!!

Having decided on the venue, we decided on the restaurant, and another round of elections (voting ) begun.

That done a consent judgement (a sort of an agreement, but it cannot be varied or set aside, unless under reasonable circumstances, because a consent judgement is usually given by the court when both parties are agreeable to something) was entered with everyone signing.... (Yes, the crazy bunch we are, we actually signed it.. all of us..)

Reason was, we didn't want anyone to start changing their minds when the appointed date came..

And we joked that we will have to pass a motion (another round of voting, 75% agreeing?) to determine our plans of a monthly meet up once our dock brief programme (programme by the legal aid centre where we have to go to court and mitigate for criminals) ends..

It was a fun day...

Scouts....

二十八日二月二零零九年:土曜日

The use of the colour purple today, is because the colour purple [and white] is the the colour of the World Scout Emblem.

Today, there was a woodbadge course, and finally, [after years, of promising myself that I would go] I went for it.. so now I finally have my MK1... [just because it's something promised to myself, by myself, that doesn't mean I don't have to fulfil it right? haha, I think it's even more important to fulfil promises we've made to ourselves, before we can fulfil promises we've made to other people] though I think maybe now it's called an induction course... but am not sure... stuff has changed, and I didn't keep myself updated....

Had my mind refreshed. and learnt a few new things. Also realised [possibly, yet again] that the saying is true: once a scout, always a scout.. And whether we realise it or not, some or almost all of us [scouts/ ex-scouts etc] live by the scouting ways.... whether at home, work, friends.. etc.. [especially those who had a geunine love for scouting during their time.. ]

Which is good, scouting values, are true to the altruistic nature of people, I wonder if Lord Baden Powell was truly an altruistic person? He must have been [and he must have been charismatic as well] to have set up such a great movement, which is already more than a century old.

Guess, maybe that's why I love scouting :)

Promise

On my honour I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God, and the Queen
To help other people at all times
To obey the Scout Law

Laws

1. A Scout's honour is to be trusted.
- A Scout tells the truth. He is honest, and he keeps his promises. People can depend on him.

2. A Scout is loyal to the Queen, his country, his Scouters, his parents, his employers, and those under him.
- A Scout is true to his family, friends, Scout leaders, school, and nation.

3. A Scout's duty is to be useful and to help others.
- A Scout cares about other people. He willingly volunteers to help others, whenever possible [and without detriment to himself] without expecting payment or reward.

4. A Scout is a friend to all and a brother to every other Scout.
- A Scout is a friend to all. He is a brother to other Scouts. He offers his friendship to people of all races and nations, and respects them even if their beliefs and customs are different from his own.

5. A Scout is courteous.
- A Scout is polite to everyone regardless of age or position. He knows that using good manners makes it easier for people to get along.

6. A Scout is a friend to animals.
- A Scout knows there is strength in being gentle. He treats others as he wants to be treated. Without good reason, he does not harm or kill any living thing.

7. A Scout obeys orders of his parents, Patrol Leader, or Scoutmaster without question.
- A Scout follows the rules of his family, school, and troop. He obeys the laws of his community and country. If he thinks these rules and laws are unfair, he tries to have them changed in an orderly manner rather than disobeying them.

8. A Scout smiles and whistles under all difficulties.
- A Scout looks for the bright side of life. He cheerfully does tasks that come his way. He tries to make others happy.

9. A Scout is thrifty.
- A Scout works to pay his own way and to help others. He saves for the future. He protects and conserves natural resources. He carefully uses time and property.

10. A Scout is clean in thought, word, and deed.
- A Scout keeps his body and mind fit and clean. He chooses the company of those who live by high standards. He helps keep his home and community clean.

A good source, which explains each of the laws thoroughly, though this is American.. well, it has 2 extra scout laws...

Shall squeeze in some work before I hit the sack tonight.. I'm happy I've got something new to do, cause that means I've managed to finish yet another thing.... YAY!! XD

Delayed posts

okay, since I can finally upload some pictures.. here are some delayed posts!

on the 29th of September 2008, before Aiyee left for the UK to continue her studies, a few of us Reading people met up for a little yum cha session.. so we ended up in... Ermm SS17 that side I think at some condominium... Xian Ai and I actually met some high school seniors there as well.. Small world..

But anyway we took a picture and here it is...

All firls only, we have Me, Xian Ai, Mel, and from the right, Ming Choi and Aiyee.. yups all girls... :p

Next up.. remember that retarded thing I was talking about a while back... Well I wanted to post a picture of it, but I couldn't load it till now.. So here is the retarded thing!!

It's a teddy bear.. 100% hand sewn by yours truly for her sister.. It's kind of small.. and it's a lot of work. so no commissions will be taken.. besides.. it's kind of retarded... Well, family members might be an exception... if and when I get more cloth and time to do it haha....

What can I say.. my sister loved it.. Well.. I did put in time and effort and all... and who doesn't like cute hand made stuff.. although it's a little retarded...

All I can say is that.. everything went on nicely.. till I had to sew them on to each other... making the indiviudal head, body, arms and legs were just nice and splendid.. Till I had to combine them all..

The head is a little off as in senget... and the arms.. well... I think one might be higher than the other haha.. but oh well... That's proof it's 100% hand sewn haha..

******

Look out for the posts below, as hopefully I can post the long awaited photographs...

First week...

Well the first week is over... so this is what I've to say..

Day one.. 3rd November 2008, Monday

First day of work.. had nothing to do... made friends with the other chambies & Paralegals....

Asked around for these forms (Borang 1-8 which is in Malay..which has already been complained about...) I had to fill in to be recognised by the BAR council that I'm a pupil/chambie. Spent the rest of the day filling out the forms...

Found out that my Master (Not that Master we have something called the master-pupil thing...) was the guy that interviewed me...

Day 2... 4thNovember 2008, Tuesday

Got permission to go to the Court complex at Jalan Duta to hand in my borang (it's Malay for form) 1 & 2 so am officially a chambie on 4th November!!

Got caught in a stupid massive downpour, the Masjid Jamek area was flooded.. and I had to wade through ankle deep water... sigh... Was quite tempted to just go home... and I think I should have.. But my stuff was still in the office.. So I went back to the office...

Day 3... 5th November 2008, Wednesday

Went to look for the lawyer that wanted to give me work the day before... It was research work... And I must say.. what we study in company law.. doesn't equip us for the corporate world.. It's a whole new world out there for this area of the law...

Spent the day, trying to figure out what the lawyer wanted.. and to get the answers for what she asked me to do....

Found it, but since I was told it wasn't that urgent.. Decided to take the next day to compile everything nicely for the lawyer the next day...

On another note.. Didn't really feel to good.. so overdosed a little on vitamin C..

Sister left back for Athens on this day I think...

Day 4... 6th November 2008, Thursday

The lawyer that assigned me the work had a meeting and wasn't in... Typed up and compiled what I think is what she wanted me to do... for the research.... and was just about to set out to look for someone to delegate work to me.. since my supervisor... i.e. the lawyer who gave me the work, and my master wasn't around... didn't know who to ask... but then another lawyer in the corporate department asked me to help her.. so okay...

Help with compiling and photocopying the stuff for due diligence (I've not much of an idea what it is either, so don't ask) Spent the whole day, arranging, photocopying....

The photocopier has a vendetta against me.. Kept acting up saying the paper was stuck, when there was no paper.. grr... I think I got Ozone poisoning..

I still didn't feel that well either... Maybe worse... but thought it was due to Ozone poisoning...

Day 5... 7th November 2008, Friday...

Officially do not feel well... Felt feverish.. coughing... sigh...

Still had the compiling and photocopying work to do... was busy, busy, busy...

Registered online for this BAR council thing.. found out... my university wasn't listed there... So had to call them up and email them.... etc.... had it settled.. got back to work..

Had a meeting/discussion about the ethics exam that we had to take... Was really feeling horrid already by then.. it was about 5pm then...

After the meeting.. another lawyer assigned me work for the coming week.. Quickly finished up the last of my compiling work.. and left for home at about 550pm....

All that's left would be to the print out the covers haha...

Sadly couldn't go for my much awaited badminton game, as am ill.. with a fever to boot.. sigh...
And that's all for the time being.. going to rest, as I've to go out with friends later.. sigh....

What??!!

Edited.. sorry about me looping into the future.. and the spelling mistakes, and ermm.. I missed out about ranting about the cockroaches at Williams.. and ermm... yeah... I think that's it haha..

Somehow I've got 4 papers cuts on 3 different fingers on my right hand, how, what, when, why? I've no idea.. but one of them hurts real bad... realised it once I was done cooking dinner...

Absence from cyber world and blogging is due to Korean drama, and reality.. i.e. real life..

Been out quite a bit this week... that's why, as I've said.. it's never balanced.. it's either go out one shot, or stay home and rot...

So yeah..
Friday, 10th October 2008
, drove.. yes I drove.. to SS2 and seapark to buy somethings.. helped with dinner and some house chores, and it was badminton.. Didn't play that much this round.. was too tired..

Saturday 11th October 2008....
In the afternoon it was to Itallinies at Midvalley to celebrate Chelle's birthday.. Had a nice time catching up, chatting randomly about dogs.. and stuffing myself silly with pasta :p Happy birthday Chelle (well, whether it's early or late now haha)

We had James, Mel, Me, Jin Fong, Vivian, Chelle and Xian Ai. We had Abby earlier on, but she left for class, it being a Saturday and all. And well, Maryln dropped by with Chelle's prezzie.

At night was the MPO: Beethoven's Overture Egmont, Mendelssohn's concerto for 2 pianos and Brahms Symphony No. 1 in C minor (Op. 68)

All popular pieces, and it was really nice..

People that went, were, me, Xian Ai, Xin Yin, Thomas, Wei Hao & Kevin..

Went to yum cha at Williams after that with Thomas And Kevin.. It was nice sitting down and chatting about our class last time haha

Oh I forgot to mention. Someone let go something like a firework and OMG, COCKROACHES STARTED CRAWLING OUT OF THE DRAINS.. EEEEWWWW horrible.. and disgusting... the girls in the table next to us left.. but the guys were okay with it.. =.=' so yeah.. we stayed...

Came home really tired.. but still.. didn't sleep early.. haha...

Sunday 12th October 2008, Watched my Korean drama? Don't think I went out till at night, to Mel's church for a theatre.. sketches more like it, called "This crazy thing called love" by the footstools, KLPAC. Was really nice, and meaningful.. and might I add TRUE!!.. Thanks for inviting mel.. it was nice... though I must admit.. due to my tiredness I almost fell asleep at some point.. but I was awake for everything... I mean well.. at least I heard the whole performance haha..

Had a not very good night's sleep.. no thanks to the annoying fleas that resulted from my neighbour.. as precious sleeps in my room, he must have brought some with him up to my room.. and though he hasn't been sleeping on the bed since he has had his fleas.. they crawled onto my bed, and bit me!! sad.. spent a paranoid night.. and I caught 4 of them.. on my bed.. nuisance.. this fleas... neighbour down the road.. has also complained about the fleas.. sigh....

Monday... 13th October 2008.. what did I do... hmmm... sprayed my room, to kill whatever fleas was abound.. ahh lazed around and attended my high school's alumni meeting at night.. was feeding mosquitoes at Ming Tien.. =.=' According to one of the alumni members, who experienced the same flea problem thing.. it took her a month to get rid of all the fleas.. woe is me.. her house is a single storey.. mine is double storey, does that mean I will have to take double the amount??

But after spraying my room.. the constant flea check that precious has been put under came out negative for once.. so the spraying worked? Had a good night's sleep...

14th October 2008, i.e. today.. Went down to KLCC to collect my offer letter.. met up with Mel, Chi ming, Terence, and Joshua for lunch and went to watch a movie called... house bunny?

not a bad show.. shall review it on Critically Acclaimed later when I'm free...

After the movie, we headed back.. and Mel and I headed to Taylor's to waste one hour of our life on this Q&A thingie.. waste of time and petrol.. geh...

and that's all for the updates the past few days...

Oh and the retarded thing has been completed, within 7 hours, though it was spaced out... but I know how many hours cause of the episodes of my korean drama that I watched as I made it.. and apparently it doesn't look that retarded.. but cute.. I guess.. but oh well we will see.. *stay tuned to find out more*

Mystery solved??

Okay, the title does have some relevance, which will be said later. As for now.. A little update..

二零零八年十月三日:金曜日
  • あの人の誕生日、たっく、どうして彼はまで忘れないだ?!
  • Woke up, and for once... in months? :p Did some house chores... Hand washed some of my new working clothes, did the laundry changed the bed sheets etc.. And being the genius I miraculiously am... Somehow, stretched my left thigh muscle... Slight pain.. =.='
  • Went for my second badminton game today, again, it was from 9-11pm at Puay Chai. Cheese had gone for a holiday so he didn't join us, but grandson Thomas did. We had 9 people today, i.e me, Xian Ai, Xin Yin, Mel, Xian Qing, Kevin, Wei Hao, Thomas, & Wai Mun, so I think it was good that it's the holidays and the courts were quite free..
We paid for one court but used two haha.. It was fun, but I got trashed being the noob that I was.. I and a few others were terribly bullied, as the game started to move to a higher level.. But fun nevertheless.. Got praised that my badminton improved from last week (^.^) and well hope to improve more from now on. Good news is... I only had some slight muscle pains.. Mostly due to aforementioned thigh..
  • After badminton, went for yum cha at the so called, open air mamak at SS2. I managed to find a comrade who doesn't think that it's a mamak too.. haha.. Wei Hao was on the same wave length...
  • Sat and chatted for a bit, and although I had followed Xian Ai to the badminton court, I followed Wei Hao home as I had to show him where the mamak was, and since my stuff was in his car, so he sent me home.
  • The journey home was interesting, as he made a deviation.... The last time he sent me home as well.. We made a slight detour at the playground near my area.. but this round.. ahh.. It was amusing... haha.. we detoured at SS2... and us both being lost souls... joker.. makan angin really...
  • Got home, showered and everything and went to bed by 2 something..
二零零八年十月四日:土曜日
  • Woke up at 10 to the alarm, and snoozed it.. and got an sms from my cousin, Ling at 1015, asking me to chose which cinema did I want to watch our movie in.. Chose the new wing.. and woke up to get ready... Realised, that I didn't have any actual muscle pains from last night's game! (^.^)
  • Parents came along to the movies.. what did we watch? Mama Mia.. really wonderful movie.. did a review for it on CA so, do check it out..
  • Before the movie started as we had about 30 minutes to spare, Ling & I headed to the arcade, and played a game of Daytona and some shooting game.. It was really hot in the arcade.. In fact the whole of BU felt hot. . Either they were trying to be:-
    a) Economical; or
    b) Environmental Friendly; or
    c) There were too many humans, and they didn't want to turn up the aircon due to aforesaid reasons... or
    d) There were too many humans, and their aircon was retarded, and so they couldn't turn it up...
I don't know you pick and chose.. It was fun, playing all the games though..
  • After the movie, we walked a bit, before settling down in Mcdonalds, with a cup of coke, a Roti Boy Bun (not for me.. I'm afraid of that stuff) and a sour cream and onion pretzel from Aunt Anne's... I later dug into a Chicken burger, before being joined by my Aunt and other cousin Yen Ping [both being the mother and sister of Ling]. Since my aunt was there, I called up my parents to join us as well.. so chatted. Bought a box of sushi, and ate somemore.. Although, by all honesty I actually already felt full...
  • I think there's something wrong with my body's system? After the pretzel and the burger.. I was definitely full, yet I couldn't stop myself from eating the sushi.. making my stomach bloat up, and I felt like I was 3 months pregnant.. =.='
  • I think the badminton game has lost it's purpose.. since I seem to eat back double the amount that I've [hopefully] burnt... [I mean I eat at the mamak too!!]
  • After that separated from aunt and cousins, and bought some table mats.. cute, delicious looking ones and headed home..
  • Got home, walked precious, and checked mail etc.. before dinner..
  • After dinner, discovered.. more fleas on precious!! Now I'm getting to the reason of the title..
Caught like 4 fleas off him.. and decided that I should sweep my room, as he spends most of his time there.. Last week there was a multitude of ticks, and today as well.. So Miss Sherlock Sayaka here got on her knees and begin the elimination process...
  • Swept room, to discover that Precious's bed, which was under my bed, had ticks on it.. 3 of them, and one on the floor, committed sinful murder... before having the whole house throughly swept, with the aid of my dad...
  • Discovered 2 more fleas in the living room... The plot thickens... found one more on the curtain next to the door.... The mystery is thus solved, with the detective's suspicions confirmed...
  • The detective and her trusty sidekick thus head outside to stare at the wall, adjoining with our neighbours.. to discover.. a wall full of fleas!!!
  • Spent two hours, feeding mosquitos and committing more acts of horrendous murder.. death by burning... [read that as ridding the wall of the ticks as much as possible..] Dad and I got a real good work out.. And the poor wall, looks black in some places it got burnt.. and the wax.. on the floor & all.. Sigh...
  • Caught my neighbour returning home, and informed her in a diplomatic manner that the fleas were a nuisance, to which acquired and apology.. but these flea business.. we can't really blame anyone... I mean honestly, they've been taking better care of their dogs... or so I hope...
  • Well, mystery was solved.. Fleas cleaned up as much as possible.. had a nice good work out, and donated some blood to the pesky mosquitoes.. Retired into the house, and had a shower... and am now... doing this...
And that's how I spent my last two days.. I'll have to try and sleep early tonight as Ccy has arranged a breakfast date with me tomorrow morning..

Before I sign off, a list for myself.. to remind myself of the list of things I ought to do and to stop procrastinating!!
  1. Sort pictures from 2006-2007 for developing
  2. Finish photo album with current pictures
  3. Translate the Ghost Hunt Manga Volume 10
  4. Wash bathroom and tidy room... (Well only one corner is messy....)
  5. Iron clothes....
  6. Tidy up cupboard...
  7. Practise musical instruments?
  8. Blog? Well, when I find the mood.. and time...
  9. Tidy up the "Work" room next door.. well after I'm done with it..
  10. ... Anything else I deem fit to enter into this entry.....

Quick Facts...

So titled as it's already 3am and I want to sleep, so am trying to keep it short and sweet.. Or so I hope.... Will elaborate later, if I feel like it... or maybe not....

26th September 2008, Friday.
  • Went for my first badminton game in 4 years[?] with, Xian Ai, Mel, Xin Yin, Chi Ming & Kevin Wong at Puay Chai's primary school from 9-11pm.... Suffering the after effects now. Muscle pains etc Real good work out though...

  • Playing badminton with the left hand [which is my recessive hand] is retarded-ly fun, and challenging. Had a good laugh...

  • Had quite a bit of fun, if not for the muscle pains that set in, in about an hour after playing.. shows how lethargic I've been lately.. Really should exercise more..

27th September 2008, Saturday.
  • Due to badminton ending at 1130pm the night before, and going for supper, I ended up home at 1230am.. And slept late, as I had to shower, dry my hair etc..

  • At about 9 something, dad woke me up for dim sum at DJ, not bad, will review it later on Critically Acclaimed, when I'm free...

  • Right after breakfast, headed to BU for shopping with parents, to buy work clothes. Trying on clothes with muscle aches, is a real pain, literally... And I think, if my mom wasn't there, I wouldn't know how to chose clothes.. Guess my lack of enthusiasm for shopping spurred this..

  • Why must work clothes be so bloody expensive??

  • Came home around 4pm, and took a nap. Parents went out for a wedding dinner, so had dinner with precious... Yummy Chicken Rice!!

  • At 925pm, Thomas came to pick me up for yum cha at SS2, with Wai Mun and Hoc Mun. I didn't know that, they called that a mamak.. The so called place near the polic station.. A mini Petunian gathering? Xin Yin joined in later. Left the mamak at bout 12am, after all the god damn bloody ciggeratte smoke, nearly killed my lungs. Thanks Thomas for buying the drinks, and driving me :)

  • Got home, checked mail, and continued my Taiwan drama.

  • Was about to sleep at 230am, when upon carrying precious, noticed a multitude of ticks on him!! I don't think he had them yesterday.... Then again, I didn't really carry him yesterday...

  • Never in his 6 years of life, did he have so many ticks!! WTF is wrong?? Got rid of all of them, [I hope] but am at a lost as to why he has so many ticks, no going into the garden for him.. Bloody stray dogs... =.='
Final note:

Need to clean room & toilet, and get back to my translating the ghost hunt volume 10 manga... & I should, internet connection witholding, finish my Taiwanese drama... Am watching Itazura na kiss/いたずらなKiss, both the Taiwan Drama [The Sequal, watched the first part in Reading], and the Anime... About half way through...

The CLP results are out!!

Note: CLP = Certificate of Legal Practise, a 9 month course foreign law graduates have to sit through, in order to get their license to practise as a lawyer.

Okay, actually I had received the information from a certain law firm that the results will be out today. And well, they called me this morning saying things along the line that I've passed, and would I like to work in their firm.

Well, before that Xian Ai had called me with the news and I went back to sleep, only to recieve the phone call from that firm. I tried going back to sleep, but since my sleep was disrupted and Xian Ai was going to come pick me up to go to the CLP board, so up I got to get ready.

Now, now.. enough of the talk.. I'm sure everyone is anxious for the results, and really just want to get over my mindless ramblings...

Well, about my results.. what can I say? I studied last minute... And I seriously mean last minute. I only prepared for some of the papers the night before the exams, and was totally freaking out that I haven't studied a thing at all.

If not for Xian Ai's gracious help, I wouldn't even know what to write on my exam papers!!

I know, I said that if I pass then there is no quota.. Well...

I guess....

There's no quota after all...?

My father laughed when I called to tell him that I passed!! Cause he called it "sleeping results" I shan't comment on that..

I'm obviously happy that I passed, so that I don't have to resit.. but am slightly disappointed that I can't play for another year, but have to enter the work force..haha, but who am I to complain?

Erm, am a little upset on the behalf of a friend who helped me so,so, so much but didn't make it.. and am upset on behalf of other friends who didn't make it as well... Sigh.. My friend studied harder than me.. I don't understand how she could fail.. Is there really a quota? :p

And am happy for the other friends who passed along with me!!

Some might complain about my lack of enthusiasm or call me over confident.. But somehow I knew that I would pass.. it's that premonition kind of feeling? Erm, thank the stars that I'm born with good selective memory....

Random Outings...

EDITED: Thanks Chelle for reminding me :)

The title says it all..

okay on the 5th of august 2008 I think... I went out with Mel and Xin Yin to get our MPO tickets for our show which would be on the 15th of august..

Since we were already there, we decided to catch a movie too. we watched Mummy 3 the dragon king.. I think.. starring Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh.. the usual... Though I prefer the old actress for Evie...

oh, I remembered when I wanted to blog about this, but forgot bout it, when I actually got down to blogging, cause well.. was distracted haha.. anyway.. Chelle reminded me, that I forgot to mention something :p

After the movie was over, in the movie theatre.. as Mel wanted to catch the name of one of the actresses, we sat down for a bit, and down at the bottom of the steps, I saw two figures waving at presumably us.. Now, most of you all know, that my eyesight isn't exactly superb.. Xin Yin hasn't a clue who they were, and Mel didn't seem to be paying them any attention.. A quick glance around.. seems to say they are waving at us..

So I stared a tad longer, and realised that the outline of the body, hair etc.. resembled people that I know.. namely Chelle and Vivian haha.. So I boldly waved back ahha.. after I told them this, Vivian laughed and said, they should have acted like some weirdo waved at them, haha.. jokers.. Well, we also met, Yogis, and Uma too..

Such a coincidence that we were all in the same theatre on that day :) We enjoyed a little chat, where Viv actually said they were going to Penang too!! on the same dates as us.. we were happy.. but it was short-lived.. cause they didn't make it, while we did end up in Penang on the said dates.. but there's next time :p after chatting for quite a bit.. as it was kinda rude to Xin Yin, so we decided to make a move.. since we had to meet Seoh too who was working in a nearby hotel......

Nicholas Seoh had insisted on meeting up for dinner.. but as Xin Yin & I wanted to go home for dinner, we merely accompanied him, and snacked in burger king :p

Mel & I pulling at a piece of fried cheese??

Well , after that it was home...

A few days later.. on the 8th of august 2008, the day the Beijing Olympics 2008 opened. I went with Nicholas Leong to Ming Tien for dinner, and was supposed to meet up with a primary school friend.. on the way, as we were walking to Ming Tien, we bumped into Nicholas Seoh, who was walking Keng Mei, my neighbour home.. Hmm~ suspicious.... but oh well.. if they were suspicious, I'm super suspicious then... haha... So Seoh joined us for a while, and left just before my friend showed up...

Which friend? Well, look below... haha

Li Qin & I, we were like best buddies in primary school, she sat in front of me in standard 6 haha.. those were the days.. so fun, and we used to go for librarian duty together and all.. felt a little old? but she didn't change much.. neither did I, I guess... Anyway, Leong helped to take this picture...

Since the 8th was the opening of the Olympics.. I managed to watch it somewhat at Ming Tien, unlike stupid RTM 1 who interrupted such an important live telecast with stupid commentaries and advertisement and not to mention they started 30 minutes late..

How stupid can they get.. It has been going on for days that this will be the BEST opening for the Olympics that the world would have seen, that it will start on the 8th of august 2008, at 8hour08minutes08seconds and yet instead of rescheduling the 8pm news or whatever.. they just showed it late.. idiots... Calls to show a repeat has been ignored.. real idiots...

Well, even though I managed to somewhat catch it at Ming Tien, I couldn't really hear it all that clearly... and I was busy chatting with friends.. but whatever I managed to catch.. it was superb..

The REALLY AMAZING thing about it, is that.. it made all Chinese people all over the globe, proud to be a Chinese.. Even if they are bananas [i.e. Chinese people who can't speak Chinese...] it didn't matter that we are like the 3rd or 4th generation since our great, grandparents or whatever, left China to seek greener pastures in foreign soil, we were all just proud to be Chinese.. that it was so superb... so cultural.. so easternly oriental.. ahaha..

Just magnificent.. and so far.. China is leading with the most gold medals now... I managed to watch some of the sports.. and woah.. are they good.. the China contestants.. that won gold.. Really deserved it.. like in synchronized diving.. the two divers were like mirror images.. so damn cool.... and perfect...

well others were cool too ahha.. and well, Malaysia got her first? medal? in the badminton singles!! not bad :) but anyway, that's all for now...

I know there has been a whole lot of lack of political posts lately.. but that's because there's nothing going on either than anwar's sodomy case... either than that.. actually I've a ton of questions, and remarks.. but as I fear ISA.. I can't exactly write it all down.. that would leave definite incriminating evidence against me.. so lately, I've been expressing my views verbally to whomever wishes to discuss whatever with me..

But I'm still a little behind in the political scene, due to my exams.. and I haven't really gotten round to reading Malaysia Kini or Malaysia Today.. but I get some snippets of information from my dear father who reads it religiously almost every day.. :p

Anyway, I doubt anyone would be able to answer me if I asked them things like.. What happened to Balkis.. and of the 30 000 supporters in permatang pauh, weren't the majority of them for Anwar? Malaysia Kini I think.. or Malaysia Today reported that BN only had about 8-10 thousand supporters..

How on earth do we trust the main stream media..? sigh.. no wonder everyone turns to online media... and well.. A particular political party thinks we are still stupid and sucking off our mother's nipples, with the stupid things they are doing.. they have to bear in mind.. one reason they lost is because most of us are young voters.. who fortunately.. own a good brain!!

I'm sorry it became political.. on to the next post, and we call it a night.. since MSN is being an ass.. and not letting messages get through.. or even connecting.. sigh.. People.. please start using google talk or Yahoo messenger please?

お姉ちゃんのお誕生日のカッド

Title: Oneechan no otanjyoubi no kaddo: Sister's birthday card..

Well, since my sister always sends cards home, and well, I actually rarely send any myself haha.. being lazy or whatever, but I think I sent one last year?... but anyway.. this year, I decided to make one.

Earlier, my brother had sort of made me a card for my birthday and so did Ccy, so I thought that I would try my hand at making a card. I think we used to do it when we were kids.. but, well that was aeons ago... Unlike my cheater of a brother who relied on items from craft shops.. mine is truly 100% hand made from scratch.. muahaha well not counting the envelope.. I couldn't be bothered to make one, when we have it available...

Anyway, on the 2nd of August 2008, I think I sat down and started on the card, and the results are below..

It was my first time making a proper card... but oh well.. It's the thought that counts, and it's really cute to me anyway :p I even wanted to keep it for myself haha..

This is the front of the card.. it looks plain now.. but just push the little tab up... to get..

This... This is the actual cover of the card... Precious pops out to wish you a happy birthday!!.
As I said, my profession isn't making cards so this was the best I could do..

And when you flip it open..

We will give you your birthday wishes!!
I wanted to make it pop out, but didn't know how... so this is just how it is haha

And that's all for this post.. I'm proud of the card I made haha

On another note, I had complained since it was summer, my livejournal inbox is getting spammed by multiple notices for yaoi/shounen ai / gay manga downloads, and I had expressed a slight concern over that... being a selective moderate feminist haha...

Well it was more of a curiosity, so I said that I would try some lesbian manga/comics... to see what's the hype with gay comics that lesbians are sidelined..

Actually over the years I hadn't really watched nor read anything regarding homosexuality.. [I mean there were the "accidents" where people didn't label the anime/manga as homosexual/porno, & I downloaded it, only to discover it after opening the file.. I mean.. heck label your things properly.. What if I happened to be under 18??!! o_O'... but still, I just read it anyway haha since I've already opened it.. haha.. I think I might have accidentally downloaded porn manga for all I know haha.. so people that borrow my animes/manga, be careful, because sometimes I don't even know what is in there haha, I just keep downloading and burning, to make more space to download more haha.. but anyway...] I guess, no matter how open I try to be, I'm still conservative.. but I do try to accept as many things as possible in this world, and judge it on my own, whether it's good or bad...

I mean if two people love each other, what's to get in their way? it's only society.. that's why we get tragic love stories like Romeo and Juliet.. But, I digress..

Anyway, back to the topic, as stated before... I finally got down to downloading a few Yuri/lesbo manga, just to see how it is.. I've accidentally watched two, I think yuuri animes before.. And it's nothing much to me...I've watched.... hmmmm.. I few yaoi animes? Those were not totally by accident though haha.. I still remember the gay anime we bought for gene :p it was a cute anime... again I digress..

So my comments, and the satisfying of my curiosity of why there is more Yaoi than Yuuri out there.. My Hypothesis...

Basically, I would say that Gay stories are more interesting? Like Loveless and Rin..and gay couples look more sexy/cute together in the mangas... Maybe it's because I've read more Yaoi/shounen ai than Yuuri/shoujo ai... and well they are bishounens/ good looking guys. And me being a girl, would of course be more attracted to their looks rather than pretty girls in lesbo... heck even in straight mangas/animes.. so that would explain why so many girls are crazy over Yaoi...

But the few things that I've seen... maybe because I'm heterosexual and a girl.. so I didn't find it all that interesting... though.. yaoi is more interesting than Yuuri, but I still prefer my straight stories.. Sorry for being so conservative.. but I'm not all closed as I did take the trouble to enter the world of homosexuality through manga and anime no matter how briefly.. It's ok, I don't mind them.. but I still prefer straight stories... =.=' by the way, anyone has broke back mountain? I wanna watch... haha..

One thing, I still don't get is the fan-girling squeals girls do over boy love/shounen ai/yaoi... even more clueless for girl love, if there is any such squealing.... Then again, by so called normal societal standards I'm not very normal... Hence, I don't really conform to society's norm.. I only go so far as is enough for me to live a peaceful life... but that's about it?

Mother's Day gifts..

Well, it's that time of the year again.. Mother's Day... so me being a penniless student... who couldn't be bothered.. and i quote from my dad "to use the money we give you to buy something useless.." besides, i have no transport to go out... no money, and i haven't a clue what to buy.. what my mom needs she has... what she doesn't have, i can't afford....

Anyway.. i always believed that making something is more worth it than buying something... especially when you put your heart into it... what else can i make that my mom would like, but apple pie... so on a Friday as mentioned before, after class, i taught Xian Ai how to make one, and i made one myself for my mom....

so here it is....

Apple Pie for Mom, With Love... and she loved it so much.. That she ate it like....

This...Eating everything around the heart, but the Heart itself haha...

Well, Besides mom's favourite dessert of an apple pie with love from me, she was not forgotten by her daughter residing overseas, who decided to send a bouquet of roses back home, without consulting me!! causing me a few problems, but all was well... after multiple phone calls, which proves that Malaysian companies, are a real pain in the ass yet again... (Blooming Sdn Bhd, is like Shipping to Malaysia... Well, blooming is much better than shipping... but still.. Malaysian Companies)

The roses were due to arrive on the 10th of May in the morning, but unfortunately, as they had a bunch of roses to deliver on that day, being mother's day, they said they will try their best, but it is unlikely.

Seeing that we will be going back to bentong to celebrate mother's day, no one would be home, so i arranged for the company to send the flowers to my cousin who lives down the road... and guess, what, the message was never passed to the driver... see the efficiency.

Later in the evening i called the company again, and was told that my next door neighbour has it for safe keeping.. so, oh well, all is fine.. when we came back on Sunday night, i collected it for my mom... and cam whored for a bit.. haha

*****
The roses came with a box of bird nest, which will most probably end up in my stomach, as my mom doesn't drink such things... but i didn't take any pictures of the bird nest.... it's just a normal one anyway....

Here we have the Roses, I tried to make the "glitter effect" with the water again...

I tried at least 7 bloody times to load the picture that has the "water glitter" effect, but because Blogspot/Maxis is retarded & idiotic!

I couldn't, so i randomly selected another picture of the bouquet...
it's a pretty bouquet anyway...

And well, what is a bouquet without it's recipient..?

Here we have the receiver of the bouquet smiling happily away.. admist a pretty backdrop? I chose the best place we had to take a picture....

Mom and dad :)

Well the effect of the back ground i chose was supposed to be like this.. though fitting in the pictures of all 4 seasons would be better, but part of the stairway would be in the picture, and mom and dad would look small, so i settled for 3...

Then there's mom, me and the dog....

And i will try to load the picture that has the "water" effect again.. if i can't.. then i'm sorry.. i have tried!!

Well, well, Whaddaya know... it finally came through.. so here is the flowers again :)

See some of them have the desired effect ;p
Especially the dark coloured ones, make the water look like diamonds when it reflects the light of the camera flash...

Well that's all for now...

The weather is so damned freaking hot, that i have a headache again!!
