I've only one pill left to my antibiotics, yet my cough doesn't abate, and in fact, my throat is very sore and swollen.... OMG!!! This totally sucks, it's horrible, coughing here and there ARGGHHH... And it hurts to just swallow.... I hate illnesses... then again who doesn't?

On another note, after 3 weeks, last night I finally went for a game of badminton... I was expecting loads of muscle aches, but I don't really have any... some very minuscule slight ones...

However, I sort of aggravated my old injury for 2 days in a row prior to playing badminton, well okay a day.... by going to the courts on Thursday, and sending documents on Friday, and then badminton on the same Friday. It already hurt slightly, but me being the stubborn mule I was continued with my badminton.. And today.. It really hurts... sigh....

Also, today may be a Saturday but I had to go back to the office with the other chambies today to set up the Christmas tree!! Well it looked all nice and pretty after we were done, then we had a discussion on the Christmas Carols that we have to sing at the Christmas lunch.

They had requested that I bring my guitar, but I haven't really touched the thing for like almost 2 months I think.. And it was so badly out of tune that I needed the piano to tune it, and there's no piano at the office... Which defeated the purporse of me stupidly lugging that thing to the office and back... Shall go tune it later.. after my nap...

Cough, cough, cough that's what I've been doing for the past few days..

Coughed till my voice has changed.. my throat hurts.. and I've a headache... Damn illness!!

I've cough tablets.. but the doctor lied.. It DOES make me sleepy.. sigh... so I daren't take them today... It's horrid.... although it really does help with the cough... unfortunately.... So the choices are....

Be half asleep and feeling tortured, while doing work.. or feel alert, but tortured from the cough while doing work..

It's like between the devil and the deep blue sea...

On another note... Calling up government departments for information.....

Well you know the urban legend of calling them and getting transferred here and there... Yeah, Yeah, i've just confirmed it's true, haha

One thing I must say though.. The government officials were VERY POLITE!! That's all nice and good.. The bad part? My Malay....

They don't seem to understand English that well, and you have to speak Malay.. It's totally like the Chinese saying of a duck and chicken trying to talk.. one goes Quack, the other goes Cluck...

But, oh well.. I might have gotten an A for my Malay in SPM but not using it for 5 years.. is horrid... And well.. I don't use high-fi words.. like what is Unjuran?? I've no idea till now.. it was in one of the forms I had to read....

I seriously want forms in English....

Been busy lately at the office, which is how I'm supposed to be? but I can still spare a few minutes haha... Going to the courts again on Thursday.... Hope it doesn't rain again.. my body can't take anymore damage... =.='

on the 29th of September 2008, before Aiyee left for the UK to continue her studies, a few of us Reading people met up for a little yum cha session.. so we ended up in... Ermm SS17 that side I think at some condominium... Xian Ai and I actually met some high school seniors there as well.. Small world..

But anyway we took a picture and here it is...

Next up.. remember that retarded thing I was talking about a while back... Well I wanted to post a picture of it, but I couldn't load it till now.. So here is the retarded thing!!

It's a teddy bear.. 100% hand sewn by yours truly for her sister.. It's kind of small.. and it's a lot of work. so no commissions will be taken.. besides.. it's kind of retarded... Well, family members might be an exception... if and when I get more cloth and time to do it haha....

What can I say.. my sister loved it.. Well.. I did put in time and effort and all... and who doesn't like cute hand made stuff.. although it's a little retarded...

All I can say is that.. everything went on nicely.. till I had to sew them on to each other... making the indiviudal head, body, arms and legs were just nice and splendid.. Till I had to combine them all..

The head is a little off as in senget... and the arms.. well... I think one might be higher than the other haha.. but oh well... That's proof it's 100% hand sewn haha..

Well the first week is over... so this is what I've to say..

Day one.. 3rd November 2008, Monday

First day of work.. had nothing to do... made friends with the other chambies & Paralegals....

Asked around for these forms (Borang 1-8 which is in Malay..which has already been complained about...) I had to fill in to be recognised by the BAR council that I'm a pupil/chambie. Spent the rest of the day filling out the forms...

Found out that my Master (Not that Master we have something called the master-pupil thing...) was the guy that interviewed me...

Day 2... 4thNovember 2008, Tuesday

Got permission to go to the Court complex at Jalan Duta to hand in my borang (it's Malay for form) 1 & 2 so am officially a chambie on 4th November!!

Got caught in a stupid massive downpour, the Masjid Jamek area was flooded.. and I had to wade through ankle deep water... sigh... Was quite tempted to just go home... and I think I should have.. But my stuff was still in the office.. So I went back to the office...


Day 3... 5th November 2008, Wednesday

Went to look for the lawyer that wanted to give me work the day before... It was research work... And I must say.. what we study in company law.. doesn't equip us for the corporate world.. It's a whole new world out there for this area of the law...

Spent the day, trying to figure out what the lawyer wanted.. and to get the answers for what she asked me to do....

Found it, but since I was told it wasn't that urgent.. Decided to take the next day to compile everything nicely for the lawyer the next day...

On another note.. Didn't really feel to good.. so overdosed a little on vitamin C..

Sister left back for Athens on this day I think...

Day 4... 6th November 2008, Thursday

The lawyer that assigned me the work had a meeting and wasn't in... Typed up and compiled what I think is what she wanted me to do... for the research.... and was just about to set out to look for someone to delegate work to me.. since my supervisor... i.e. the lawyer who gave me the work, and my master wasn't around... didn't know who to ask... but then another lawyer in the corporate department asked me to help her.. so okay...

Help with compiling and photocopying the stuff for due diligence (I've not much of an idea what it is either, so don't ask) Spent the whole day, arranging, photocopying....

The photocopier has a vendetta against me.. Kept acting up saying the paper was stuck, when there was no paper.. grr... I think I got Ozone poisoning..

I still didn't feel that well either... Maybe worse... but thought it was due to Ozone poisoning...

Day 5... 7th November 2008, Friday...

Officially do not feel well... Felt feverish.. coughing... sigh...

Still had the compiling and photocopying work to do... was busy, busy, busy...

Registered online for this BAR council thing.. found out... my university wasn't listed there... So had to call them up and email them.... etc.... had it settled.. got back to work..

Had a meeting/discussion about the ethics exam that we had to take... Was really feeling horrid already by then.. it was about 5pm then...

After the meeting.. another lawyer assigned me work for the coming week.. Quickly finished up the last of my compiling work.. and left for home at about 550pm....

All that's left would be to the print out the covers haha...

Sadly couldn't go for my much awaited badminton game, as am ill.. with a fever to boot.. sigh...
And that's all for the time being.. going to rest, as I've to go out with friends later.. sigh....

I think we both know it's kinda good that I didn't go... Though I'm always mean to you (good naturedly.... For me at least haha)... For my own evil entertainment... like this sentence... "You know today at the office I... and.... it was... and.... floating... So I had to.... twice..." You know what I'm talking about... muahaha [Where's the onion head when you need it for evil depictions!!!]

You know how upset I'll get at that moment..... haha... Not a piece of Ice after all... :p

Today was my first day of work.. I had nothing to do yet... And I can't remember everyone's names yet...

Everybody was busy.. and most people don't come into work till 9.30am... I was there before 8.30am....

There's two shifts, see.. either 830-530 or 930-630 for me the earlier is better.. because I take the LRT and taking the train between 8-9am is insane... Cause that's the peak hour.. so guess I will stay at my 830am slot... Meaning I take the train around 715am...

The other chambies that I've met.. are kinda nice.. BUT very busy...

The forms that I had to fill out to state that I want to be a chambie.. is horrid.. it's in Malay.. I mean what the hell is Tetuan?? or Pempetisyen... (Messrs & Petitioners respectively) Why don't they have the forms in English??? But oh well.. I got through that...

Slept late the night before because of my sister.. so was really sleepy... And am really tired even now... Went out straight for Japanese food at BU right after work.. So am super tired..

Spent my morning moving a Computer (CPU, monitor... the works) from the 7th floor to the 11th floor.. Thank goodness to my new found friend... I think I would have died of boredom if not for her.. Spent time chatting and getting to know her, went for lunch with collegues and started filling up the forms, and learning how to submit them.. Squeezing a briefing from the partners in between...

Tomorrow my day is going to be spent running around KL, along Jalan Duta and near the Masjid Jamek LRT stop, because I've forms to hand in... so well yeah....

Well, yeah.. Title says it all, it's a whole new phase, because tomorrow I officially start work for the first time.. I mean yeah.. I've worked part time before.. but this is the official thing, since I am a law graduate and all..

Although I'm not very sure if you can call it work, since it's an internship.. But I do get paid? They call it an allowance...

Well, My internship is for 9 months, then I get called to the BAR.. then It's official I guess...

So expect less of me online and well.. probably in real life too, except on the weekends. If the company would be so gracious as to grant me that....

Clothes : check, Shoes : check, Bag : Check..

So Okay... It's off to bed for me for my brand new start tomorrow..

31st October 2008 was halloween.. although this country of mine doesn't widely celebrate it as in like the west, Mel decided to organise one for our university mates.. so we did.. and on the 31st we ended up at TGIF at the curve for dinner and to well.. just be what we aren't haha..

after dinner we headed to Quatron near KLCC for some clubbing.. it's anew club with the concept of having 4 seasons.. hence the reason of my post now... If you are the kind like me, who goes clubbing for the dancing part and not the drinking part.. then please spare yourself the misery of going to Quatron..

That place is for people to drink!! There is no dance floor.. I reapeat... THERE IS NO DANCE FLOOR. The place is horrid if you hate ciggeratte smoke like me.. and well my allergies thank you to it.. My eyes sting like mad.. and well.. strangely enough.. I didn't cough that much as I thought I would.... Well in return I got a headache.. guess the people nearby must have been smoking... ermm.. Dunhills I think... Well, if I recall correctly that's the brand that gives me minimal cough but a huge headache... sigh..

Well, the smoke was horrible for my eyes.. and I suffer the effects still... one day after that.. And I've washed my hair twice and it STILL STINKS OF CIGGERATE SMOKE... Woe is me.....

Listening to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture..... fitting?? Watched 2 movies today.. The Holiday and 21.. Yesterday I watched Just Like Heaven.. all 3 are nice movies.. shall review them later when I get the chance... Since I start work this coming monday... =.='

And also speaking of which.. when the club asked for contact details I purposely changed one of the digits of my handphone number to avoid getting spammed by them.. and woah... they still managed to send spam to me... =.=' horrible.. totally horrible...
