The smooth surface,
Almost mirror like,
Watching it unknowingly,
I entered its flow,
Unconsciously submerged by it,
Fighting to grasp the sky,
Before being pulled down again,
Following it’s flow,
Unable to turn back,
The road is set;
I shall head to sea,
Can you see the future?
It’s unpredictable

Had a nice long weekend, ran down south with a bunch of family members for.... well with this side of the family, it's nothing but eating and drinking haha... so yes, had the tummy filled nicely to the brim during thanksgiving with home-cooked food from relatives in Singapore....
it was nice :)
oh by the way, i know this is a bit slow (especially gene and huey, must be rolling their eyes haha) but recently i've gone nuts over Gackt's songs.. it started with Last Song (yes that is the song title) though, and orange sun (orenji no taiyou).... i like that type of style.. the rest, are still okay? but the moon's song (tsuki no uta) is not bad as well.. i like it when he sings like that hahah... (i.e slow... since i do like slow songs by default... keke)
i youtubed some of his music videos and came across some funny videos on him too.. joker hahahha XD (look at "magnum" hahha)
ELPHABA Hands touch, eyes meet Sudden silence, sudden heat Hearts leap in a giddy whirl He could be that boy But I'm not that girl:
Don't dream too far Don't lose sight of who you are Don't remember that rush of joy He could be that boy I'm not that girl
Ev'ry so often we long to steal To the land of what-might-have-been But that doesn't soften the ache we feel When reality sets back in
Blithe smile, lithe limb She who's winsome, she wins him Gold hair with a gentle curl That's the girl he chose And Heaven knows I'm not that girl:
Don't wish, don't start Wishing only wounds the heart I wasn't born for the rose and the pearl There's a girl I know He loves her so I'm not that girl
was listening to the song last night... and well.... just felt like it... noo... am not heart broken etc.. only certain parts apply.... if you know which parts..... take out all the wishy washy comparing parts and you will have it haha....
More random pictures as I try to make use of the good connection to upload pictures..
So as they say.. the cliché, a picture says a thousand words.. so here they are.. all the posts I missed out cause I was busy... And the connection was crap...
This was my dad's birthday on December 2008
Uncle's birthday.. 2008... ermm forgot what month... November maybe??
Mom's Birthday on November 2008 A bottle of Asahi (Japanese Beer) by her side... haha..
Ermm.. November 2008 As well I guess.. or was it December... A very small G1 gathering at Yuen's Sunway.. I think I mentioned it before in one of the posts.. but here's the picture...
Just look at this fella, really and literally sitting down and eating.. 可愛い XD
He really is sitting you know.... :)
Went for the MPO on 20th December 2008, I think, Cause it was the winter festival, so I think it was about there.. anyway, we went cause they were playing the Lord of the Rings.. it was really superb.. and Des was a doll, and sent us back to PJ, since the last train had already stopped..
And Oh due to this screen they had, I had to crank my neck to see this sort of slideshow during the performance.. causing a neckpain... haha I recall that throughout the performance.. at some parts.. I just had to let my head drop and stare at my lap/hands/whatever, to ease my neck haha.. set too front I think.. but it was hard to get tickets...
-Oracl3-
Well yeah, sorry I'm backdating the last few posts, but I wanted the flower post to be at the top.. haha..
Got it on the 3rd day of Chinese New Year.. sigh, just my luck.. (Mahjong was bad enough??) I think with the weather being so darned hot in the day time and so darned cold in the night..
It was still okay, as it was on the beginning stages, on the 4th day I got a reading of 37.5, so upon coming home from work, after dinner, I just took those bitter stuff, and went to sleep...
It abated the next morning, so I thought okay.. I will go to work then.... I was sent out of the office by someone at work, which I think was a good thing, as I could go home a tad early to rest...
sigh.. desperately trying to finish my opinion.. still feels like it's lacking some stuff, but my brain is too muddled to think.. argghhhh... =.='
oh and that meng, gave me the link to one of my favourite parts in the movie Windstruck that he loaned me aoens ago.. when we were still in Taylor's and which I cried buckets over.. damn.. he made me feel like downloading and watching the whole movie again.. which... is what i'm doing... i downloaded the OST already haha.. only 2 more parts on the movie to go ahha...
I've only one pill left to my antibiotics, yet my cough doesn't abate, and in fact, my throat is very sore and swollen.... OMG!!! This totally sucks, it's horrible, coughing here and there ARGGHHH... And it hurts to just swallow.... I hate illnesses... then again who doesn't?
On another note, after 3 weeks, last night I finally went for a game of badminton... I was expecting loads of muscle aches, but I don't really have any... some very minuscule slight ones...
However, I sort of aggravated my old injury for 2 days in a row prior to playing badminton, well okay a day.... by going to the courts on Thursday, and sending documents on Friday, and then badminton on the same Friday. It already hurt slightly, but me being the stubborn mule I was continued with my badminton.. And today.. It really hurts... sigh....
Also, today may be a Saturday but I had to go back to the office with the other chambies today to set up the Christmas tree!! Well it looked all nice and pretty after we were done, then we had a discussion on the Christmas Carols that we have to sing at the Christmas lunch.
They had requested that I bring my guitar, but I haven't really touched the thing for like almost 2 months I think.. And it was so badly out of tune that I needed the piano to tune it, and there's no piano at the office... Which defeated the purporse of me stupidly lugging that thing to the office and back... Shall go tune it later.. after my nap...
Well, it's a mystery.. but lately.. I've been watching a Korean drama titled Song of a Prince/ Seo Dong Yo with my mum... [it's like some Korean version of Romeo & Juliet.. it has 56 episodes.. so don't mind the long absence...] And with MSN being such a pain in the ass.. heavy thunderstorms threatening my modem.. Trying to sleep early and wake up early.. Hence, the lack of appearance in the cyber world.. Well, not like anyone is really looking for me =.=' Besides, if they really need me I'm a phone call away.... So no sweat...
Ended up cooking dinner for the past 2 days with my mum... How did that come about?? Not that I really mind.. A chance to mess around in the kitchen before I start work?? :p
Went to KLCC to get my tickets for the MPO this Saturday with "Grandson" Thomas.. Badminton game tomorrow? :p

Lately, I don't know why, but I've been in a mood to watch movies... and videos.. hmm~ revelling in my final days of freedom?

Today's interview was okay, in fact we were laughing in there... Is that good I wonder.. I had to differ one, sadly, though I didn't want to trouble their HR but I didn't have a choice.. I have one on Wednesday, but that sounds scary from a friend who has already went for it.. Edit: From the looks of it, I have one for each day, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday. I'm beginning to hope there's none on Friday...
Waited for a firm which promised to call on Monday i.e. Yesterday since it's already 126am... but didn't call...
Moodless, possibly cause I'm tired... Interviews can be this tiring, I didn't know that.. Wonder how the Interveiwers stand it..
Back to the title.. I noticed that I like music where the Singer has deep voices.. Not deep as in Bass deep, maybe Alto-ish.. a bit to bass.... like Josh Groban, Taniyama Kisho, Remioren if you get what I mean.. or well, to understand the type of voices I like... for male singers..
For female, I like those voices like... From Changin' My Life, Rie Tanaka, Olivia Inspi Reira, though Anna Tsuchiya isn't bad...
On the 21st of August 2008, after refusing to plan any outings because Seoh said he would do it... Which, as expected, in the end resulted in it being arranged and planned out by me and Leong, we went out for karaoke.. [I was dubbed the Event Manager ==' pay me and I won't mind the title haha...>:)]
Unfortunately, as Seoh had work, we had to go at night... ==' which means more expensive.. sigh.... But all the same we had fun... So who went? well, there was obviously the 3 people mentioned above, plus Xin Yin and her friend.. Pei Ling? Hope I got her name right...
I honestly wasn't very happy that I had to end up doing the work, when it was only for 4 people, and Seoh was busy bragging that he had orgnized bigger things than this.. knowing him, his information isn't credible.. or maybe he is more responsible when it comes to work, but couldn't give two hoots when it comes to friends...
Since he was bragging so much, I meant to teach him a lesson, and I decided to really not lift a finger.. if he doesn't do it, I just don't karaoke, simple I won't die from that.. but guess Leong really wanted it? haha cause he got the ball rolling, and arranged for a time when we were all free... hence.. we ended up in Red Box at the Curve..... Though I had expected it to turn out that way... I still wasn't happy =.='
But I wasn't about to let that spoil my mood for the night right? and besides.. Seoh offered to drive.. so it was all well and fine... and off we went for a buffet karaoke...
The new pop star? haha
Xin Yin & I, you know, actually this picture was taken upside down? Honestly 360.. Maybe.... Hmm... oh well... *shrugs..* cross your fingers to say goodbye to days where you tilt you heads to view my pictures here...
Obviously and outing is never complete without a groupie.. Well, we should know everyone here by know.. the unknown is Pei Ling. We've got some posers here haha
Nick Leong & I
Nick Seoh & I, after many attempts of trying to take this picture by ourselves.. cause he's vain?? it's the truth... haha
Pop stars in the making? haha Those were some of the food we ate haha..
And that 's all.. nothing much.. we sang/screamed?? till we were haorse, and well, I think the fun thing bout night karaoke is, if they don't have patrons waiting to take over your room.. you can sing till kingdom come....
Not to say it's my first time karaoke-ing at night, but the last round we left to catch fireworks, and well, me being a poor student... We usually go in the day time cause it's cheaper... It was an experience.. and it was quite fun.. Did I mention.. really pricey too? O_o'
On the 15th of August 2008, I went to the MPO with xin Yin, Mel, Ee Va, & Ee Va's friends..
We listened to Rossini's Overture: William Tell It was wonderful and energetic... We were sitting quite near the front this time, compared to our usual seats.. I couldn't see the whole orchestra, but from where we were seated we could hear them a tad better.. guess cause it was nearer..
Anyway, the second performance was from this composer known as Louis Sphor, honestly, I've never heard of him.. but apparently he was alive at around the same time as Beethoven haha.. Anyway we listened to:- Sphor's Concerto in A minor for String Quartet and Orchestra (Op131) it had 3 movements:
Allegro moderato
Adagio
Rondo (Allgretto)
This concerto had quite a sombre mood to it.. like the feeling of winter? a funeral? well.. just very serious.. and it lightened up around the end...
It was my first time hearing this piece, but I thought it was okay.. it might be those type of pieces where you will have to listen to it a few times to get used to it? Or maybe it's because it was a tad to sombre haha..
Anyway after a 20 minute interval, it was the much awaited performance.. well for me that is... one of the main reasons why I really wanted to come for this performance was because they were playing:- Dvorak Symphony No. 9 in E minor (Op. 95) - "From the New World" it had 4 movements:
Adagio - Allegro molto
Largo
Molto vivace
Allegro con fuoco
Courtesy of Huey, whom lent me her whole stack of classical music CDs I have part of the 2nd movement, From The New World. and also due to the anime La Corda d'Oro/ The Golden Chord. I really loved that melody. So obviously I loved the whole 4 movements and performance, though the 2nd movement was my favourite.. haha...
apparently after the performance, a few people were saying that they wanted to give a standing ovation, but we being Malaysians.. were shy.... but oh well.. for the next MPO i'm eyeing Mendelsshon's concerto for 2 pianos in A flat... which will be on the 11-12 of October 2008. anyone interested? :p
Oh, and well, they will be playing music from the movie Lord of the Rings, somewhere in December. I'm sure there's plenty of LOTR fans out there.. let's go together :p
Anyway, after the performance, we took some pictures before heading home...
Here we have Xin Yin, me, mel & Ee Va... With the chandelier in the background...
The additions are Ee Va's friends and cousin.. so I don't really know who is who
And that's all for the multiple posts, as stated, Penang posts have to wait till I get the pictures from Mel and Xian Ai...
Hmm~ a friend made me realise.. that more often than not... I rarely get asked by friends to go out.. usually it's always me that has to organise to go out.. that's so sien/boring..
I mean I did realise that before, that's why at one point I just refused to organise nor plan anything any more.. I mean.. it's like I wasn't important to them at all? that every time I wanted to go out, I had to do the planning.. such a pain.. when you needed people, they weren't there by your side, or they where there but did nothing... what's the point you wonder sometimes..
But well, thankfully now.. it's not that bad any more :p I have other friends, who take the trouble to come look for me, or ask me out for movies and stuff, or plan trips... and well.. I guess it doesn't really help matters that I'm helluva lazy & a hermit haha well if I was rich.. with loads of cash to spare..and if I could drive myself around.. that might be a totally different story.. haha..
Title: kowaiisone purashososu: Pitiful Precious [note: ケンちゃん, pitiful is kowaii, or kowai.. confused for the time being]
short post... [by my standards]
Ccy left for Perak.. already, should be there by now.... well ganbatte Satoshi-kun, and I just found out 慧 can also be pronounced as satoshi.... 0_O' haha but that's a guy's name. [found out from the anime 図書館戦争/toshokan sensou/Library wars, but since it's a guy's name, it's still sayaka for me] who would have known our names are the same? haha.. Memang kawan baik haha...
On another note, back to the title.
Two days ago, my precious had a boil on his skin, the skin ailments he gets once in a while. Usually if he can lick it it will heal, but it happens that the wound was out of range. so it spread and grew worse, so today we finally decided to bring him to see the vet.
As it was a Saturday the government vet is closed and being so far away, we just brought him to the private vet near our place. cost us Rm120, the last time we went there with the same ailment, but being on his head, in contrast to his back now, it cost us Rm180 then.. I was surprised, I thought it would be more expensive now.
Little fellow had to have the fur near the infected area shaved, and got an injection..
Could you believe it? he Bit me? he BIT me!!!!
When taking the injection.. Well it wasn't a really serious bite or anything, guessed he did control himself. And after he bit me, he immediately stopped struggling.. but oh well.. not like I bled or anything...
Now he seems better, sleeping in his cage. He has a course of antibiotics to start tomorrow. He should get better now :)
And that's all.. Back to the books for me.. only 2 days left.. damn I'm screwed... Damn you CLP and the people who set it up!!! They should try to take this stupid exam that they set up!!

P/s: thanks Cheese for this MV 太陽の下 /Taiyou no Shita / Under the Sun
He gave it to me, when I said I was suffering from Exam Panic Attacks. A semangat? song? hehe. Thanks anyway. :)
I fell in love with this song.. can someone find the Mp3 for me?
Nishikido Ryo singing sangatsu kokonoka... He was an actor I was nuts about, due to his role in One Litre of Tears..
Remioromen singing the same song..
Remioromen Konayuki
K : Only Human
Except for under the sun/ Taiyou no shita. All the other songs were used in the Japanese Drama, One Litre of Tears...
Cross Yuuki & Kiryuu Zero [the latter, being my favourite character, in case some of you haven't noticed, on my MSN. This two are also my favourite pairing :p]
Title: Vaanpaia kishi: Vampire Knight..
Usually vampires in Japanese are called kyuuketsuki:きゅうけつき: 吸血鬼. But the Mangaka [manga artist] wanted to use English.. hence the Katakana/カタカナ, and if you've watched the anime or read the manga, the furigana above kishi/騎士, is usually put as naito/ナイト/knight.
Anyway, I'm just going to fangirl a little about the OST [Original sound Track] which I just downloaded. [Cause I need to go study...]
And woah, I have to say.. I love all the tracks in there, especially the ones related to the vampires. It sounds so mysterious and intriguing.. It's like baroque, mixed with a bit of modern? ermm, sorry I can't describe music terminology... [my music theory is only till Grade 6 and I still know nuts..] But it's so cool...
Maybe because I really love the story and all, for more information on Vampire Knight, head here, and here,... hehe.. it's more to the shoujo [girl] story side.. so guys may not understand my fangirling.. since I love Shoujo stories... [I'm a sucker for romance stories, sue me..]
Basic storyline, is, it's about Vampires and the huge conspiracy behind their community, and the human community [well, throw in some angst, self loathing... etc in one of the main characters, incest? romance, loads of mystery.. freaking hot vampires... and you got yourself a story...]
Well, it gets really exciting, I've been reading the manga since last year, the manga came out in January 2005 I heard, I've been reading since November 2006 I think... [it's still ongoing, gyaah the suspense.. the manga is really picking up heat...!! ] the mystery behind it all.. ermm.. I can't really describe it, unless I write an essay here, so please check the links out..
If you are interested in music which has the organ/hapischord [though I think it's an organ], violin, cello, piano, choir, orchestra, baroque style music, mysterious music.. do ask me.. I'll give you the link for download.
*Actually it's here, remove the spaces --> http: // .shareonall .com/Vampire_Knight_-_OST_qlqn_zip.htm* Okay, done fangirling... need to force myself to study.. I'm only half done with the syllabus.. Sobs~ 頑張って!!
To make up for my lousy driving skills earlier in the day.. My violin skills aren't that bad... I guess...
At the moment I can play:
Twinkle, twinkle little star,
Mary had a little lamb (but when I play it, it sounds like Mary's dying lambs...) and
The beginning part of Sadame..
Well, I guess I'll move on from there.. Then again, when I was playing Mary's dying lambs.... my inability to control the bow properly made it touch the other strings, thus adding unwanted and unneeded notes.. which caused me to burst out laughing, as I struggled to finish the song..
Much to Meng's chagrin yet again, as he couldn't find what was so funny, till I told him that the extra notes are like.. the 3 little pigs barging onto Mary's scene...
Imagine this.. As I play Mary had a little lamb (or dying lambs, whichever pleases you..), or upon hearing that song, one should envision, vast fields with Mary and her lambs flittering around.. and then.....
Here comes the sudden extra notes.. and I don't know why, seriously... But I started to imagine the 3 little pigs, invading the scene, causing chaos to Mary and her already dying/flittering lambs.. as the little pigs ran around...
Well, OK, blame it on my over active imagination.. haha... but it was so hard to continue playing, what more finish the song, with that imagery in my head haha... but i digress.. back to the 2 songs, and the part of the 3rd song that I managed to play, albeit, not very smoothly though... it's only been 3-4 days? since i picked up the violin? so i guess, i have to go slow.. i'm no genius after all.. anyway.....
The huge achievement today was.. I somehow managed to hold the violin, in what I assume is the correct position, since I don't have to support it with my hand, and only use my shoulder and chin... so I guess it's the proper way.... Because that's how it's actually meant to be...
My downfall is, my inability to remember the fingering..
I think, I just suck in both driving/parking/3 point turn and music... but not that much in music... i think..
-Oracl3-
Am I too harsh on myself?? 0_O' I should have this kind of attitude towards my studies too then... haha... but somehow, it just doesn't work that way.... :p
After so many political related posts, you guys must be wondering what is with this sudden random post about music and the piano.. I don’t know, just assume I’m tired of politics for the time being? I mean I’ve finally found the reason for my indecision.. Mr Victor Gu is in the wrong party!!
Oh well so they say.. But whatever.. I’m sort of made up in my decisions.. That’s why for now, I can stop posting about politics.. Though I will still follow it somewhat :p
Well the reason for this post is obvious haha.. Who might the piano player be? Well non either than yours truly here… as we all know, I do play the piano, although I have stopped my lessons, since I left for the UK for my studies, (and I am only at about grade 6 or 7, more to 6 I think… though I haven’t taken any official exam.. I’m quite hopeless as I have forgotten most, if not all of my theory.. And have to constantly ask for help in reading the symbols.. ) but I have not stopped playing the piano yet, and in fact I have picked it up more seriously than I did before I left for the UK.
It’s a common fact now that I’m really into classical music, and I’ve been trying my hand at various classical pieces… mostly works belonging to Beethoven, and which are about grade 5 works… Why? maybe it’s because I find some of his works easier to play, besides his pieces are popular, I’m sure we all at least know Fur Elise, and the Moonlight Sonata…
Well unlike music students, I do not own the leisure to practise the piano 8 hours a day, nor will I do so, even if I possess the time..(I think..) Basically I play when I can, and lately, I acquired a stash of classical music pieces from Huey and Wendy, so I started playing whenever I am free.. I must say that I am quite proud of my sight reading… but I digress when it comes to timing.. Unless I’ve heard the piece before, I am totally clueless as to what is the timing.. And thus, most of the time, it turns out sounding seriously weird.. (I’ve tried to improve, but I can only handle basic counts…. That’s the problem when it’s become a habit not to count for years… )
Anyway, again I digress… going back to the main reason for this post is because I am happy that I managed to finally finish a piece!! (well not counting the aforementioned Beethoven and other simpler works…)
It was a tough road (the notes were confusing.. it was seriously starting to look like tauge to me.. Not to mention, I kept getting lost, cause I couldn’t see where I was last playing… ), but I have finally completed the first movement of Schubert’s Sonata in A minor S845 Op 42 (1825), there is still plenty of room for improvement, because truth be told, I have only been practising the first page, and taken by a sudden wave of enthusiasm (after coming back from the Thursday Pasar Malam with ccy) I sight read through the entire first movement in an hour or less…
Maybe it’s because I have been playing the piano quite diligently since Reading, or it could be my ex Piano teacher(s)’s excruciating lessons, where she.... or more like, they… (one of them was male...)
well I changed teachers 12 times, and almost all of them did that to me..explains my loss of interest really well right? Anyway, they practically forced me to sight read a whole piece. Damn I hated those lessons.. I felt so stressed.. And well maybe it was also because I lacked motivation thenbut that’s that.. (i sort of thank them now :p)
I realised that not all classical pieces are that hard, and I could play them too.. In fact I could sight-read them. So, yes I am happy and thus this post to mark my achievement.
With that, I will continue practising my Schubert’s sonata, (wish me luck.. it really isn’t easy… well to me anyway..) till I get the timing right.. And well.. You really need to practise to make a piece sound right. Even child prodigies spend a lot of their time at the piano, that’s why they can play so well.. Playing the piano really takes practise, nothing else but that.. So yes I will continue with that piece!! がんばって!!
On another note.. I m looking for… well it’s impossible for someone to have two pianos right? But no harm asking, maybe someone knows someone in a music academy, and we could rent a room for a while to play a piece for two pianos… Oh and someone to play with me...
Because next on my list to master after Schubert’s sonata will be Mozart’s Piano Sonata for Two Pianos In D Major K448. After Schubert, I will try to learn the parts for both pianos.. I tried sight reading it just now.. And it seems playable to me.. It’s a bit hard but I’m sure that with time and patience I can do it..
Another step of recovery from to ? And this is a good way to train my patience and will power again..
I'm sorry Chopin, but Fantasie Impromptu has to take a back seat for the time being... It really isn't my standard... (yet.. i hope)
And that’s all for the post on music…

Okay, Okay.. So I lied.. It’s back to politics now…
DAP’s Tony Pua had scheduled a talk today at SS2’s Cheow Yang, near the Thursday Pasar malam.. So as a responsible citizen, who is supposed to vote this year, and who has taken it upon herself to find out more about the candidates.. (Because obviously we can’t trust our mainstream media… and the internet only has so much.. and also since it’s always and I mean always , classes and home for me, I needed a change) I headed off with ccy for the talk..
To be honest.. Actually, my main target was to go for Mamak and have Cheese Naan after the talk. But fate would have it that wei hao is busy with his assignments, and xian ai had a dance class.. and Leonard was going with his parents.. With only two people going to the mamak… what fun is there in that?? For mamak it’s the more the merrier.. with no one to mamak with, (except ccy) I decided to just go for the talk.. And walk the pasar malam..
my cheese naan
So off I went.. And Tony Pua’s turn to talk hadn’t arrived, even though we were there like since 830pm. Since it was starting to drizzle, I decided to just go to his blog later when he uploads the video.. Besides, the other speakers there, were already spouting facts that we all already know.. and unfortunately for the part banana here, part of their talk was in chinese..
So having ate, some itako (baby octopus - RM2 for a stick, I guess it’s considered cheap..), had some lime drink.. (RM1.20, this was cheap too.. compared to KL, heck corn cup there was RM2.20, in KL it’s RM2.80..) And buying some pizza buns back for breakfast the next day.. (RM5.40 for 3.. cheap??) I ended my eating and drinking spree, besides I was kind of full from dinner.. came home, and stole some songs from ccy’s pendrive, played some piano, sang along to some of Andrew Lloyd's songs (Darn he loves Flats..) and as said ended up sight reading the whole sonata in A minor, and am now blogging about my achievement..
So that’s all for now..
I lost to the will to
I had seriously better start, or I will end up like this by my parents
So to jump start my engine, I plan to wake up at least in the morning.. Instead of the usual noon, and have my breakfast.. Complete whatever chores I have, play the piano and pick up my books.. Or at least pick them up after lunch and study AT LEAST for a minimum of 2 hours… a day.. and increase from there.... sounds good?? Well let’s hope I can carry that out.. Wish me luck!!
