The smooth surface,
Almost mirror like,
Watching it unknowingly,
I entered its flow,
Unconsciously submerged by it,
Fighting to grasp the sky,
Before being pulled down again,
Following it’s flow,
Unable to turn back,
The road is set;
I shall head to sea,
Can you see the future?
It’s unpredictable

written in conjunction with the article, "Barricaded City" featured in the Star Metro on 14th December 2009. Yes, I've sent it to them, but since I don't have time, and we don't really buy the Star any more... I doubt they published it... but yeah, this is for all those suckers out there, living on the charity of their neighbours, (cause they refuse to pay the fees for the gated and guarded community, yet can boast that they enjoy it... and that if they don't pay others will.. ooh trust me, idiots like those are my neighbours) and for those acting like nincompoops cause they are selfish and inconsiderate. thank you.. and enjoy! ****** Firstly, I am not anti establishment, I just speak the truth, as I see it. Humans are, to a certain extent selfish and self-centred, especially when it concerns strangers. They only care about their own convenience and safety and not those of others. The complaints from general road users regarding the unreasonableness of the road closures, I feel, is unfounded, and just plain selfish. What do these people have to lose from the road closures? They are merely strangers passing through True, the roads in residential areas are public roads, but what is the main purpose of these roads? They are for the residents themselves to use, it is their access to enter their own houses; these roads are not meant to be short cuts for drivers to “pass through” just because they don’t want to wait at the junction or a traffic light. In fact they speed (going above 30kmph) through a residential area. Is that not illegal??!! As far as I can see, these drivers are merely losing some (minimal) time and convenience. A very minor, if not inconsequential loss, yet they kick up a fuss, scream their lungs out at the security guards, very unsightly, and all because they have to wait longer at junctions, or for the traffic light. It is just selfishness speaking. Have they ever thought, what would the residents lose if these access roads were still widely accessible to the public? Are they themselves not residents somewhere else? Residents, I believe, may lose their sense of security, their possessions, their safety, their dignity and sometimes, even their lives. An exaggeration? I think not. The fact that residents have decided to take the matter of their security into their own hands proves that it is a paramount failure of the Federal Government and our Police force. Would residents do this if the Federal Government and the Police made them feel secure? The simple answer would be, no. Take for example, in just under 2 weeks, 4 houses in my area were robbed. In broad daylight, my own father was robbed right outside our house while trying to enter the front gate. A friend of mine, had her home broken into during the wee hours of the morning, her sister was held captive while they were robbed. In all these scenarios, some have been hurt physically, some not, but without a doubt, they have all been scarred psychologically. The security in PJ is so poor, parents fear for their children, and children fear for their parents. It may just be a few rotten apples in the basket, but it is a known fact that most Malaysians do not trust the Police. The Police have failed to show us results, and the Federal Government does nothing about it, and nothing about our declining security. If road users would like to point fingers, point them at MBPJ who authorised the closure of the roads, point them at the 85% of residents who cared enough for their family’s and neighbours safety, point them to the Federal Government and the Police for the lack of security, or the sense of it among the residents. Point all you want, but it will get you no where. Ever wondered what is the point of pointing fingers? Find your compassion, think of others. Just a slight compromise in their safety, and it could be fatal; it could result in permanent physical damage, paranoia, or the loss of a life. I admit my friends, that yes, what the residents are doing is an act of selfishness but they have a bigger price to pay then the mere loss of time and convenience. But I guess the best part of it all is the irony. I am sure a number of these road users, are from gated communities themselves, so what is the fuss about exactly? Oh, and the thing about emergencies? Boomgates can always be unlocked and opened. ****** p/s: this is the original version before editing and before i cut out certain parts.... namely the pointing finger part from what I sent to the papers. reason? well it would be too long to explain why i included MPBJ, cause apparently they won't give any written documents to actually prove that they allowed the closure of the roads.. but, apparently there is a guide line from MBPJ that states you need 85% (min) of the residents to agree... (click on the word "guideline", there are two links attached to it) =.=' so in the end, I didn't want to send stuff that i didn't have time to research on.... oh yeah, on another note, I've not been much of a diplomat as of late.. (i doubt i ever was much of one to start with) but yes, please don't mind me... and my so called evil-ness streak running rampant currently... maybe it's the Christmas season? cause it pissess me off.... muahahahhaha (okay, okay it doesn't la, I like holidays cause it means food and wine la... =.=') Labels: Anger, Debate, Fact, Irony, Lifestyle, Personal Thoughts, Politics, Random Rambling, Rant
Equality is in my opinion a Utopian concept. It does not truly exist, nor would, I doubt, it ever exist, at least not in my lifetime. Discrimination is everywhere, present here and now, in force whether we realise it or not. Discrimination between the races, culture and sexes are among the few examples of the types of discrimination we face everyday. Thankfully the world is opening up and in this 21st century we are blessed with people who are willing to free themselves from the four corners of their boxes and venture out, and embrace new things, new ideologies, new culture. Discrimination, I believe can be traced back way, way back even to the Stone Age. They may not exactly have any discrimination against race or culture back then, but it was obvious that there was discrimination of the sexes. Which is actually the main topic of this write up today. My knowledge of what I am about to write here, is knowledge I have gathered from talking to people, observing society and reading random materials over the course of the 20 odd years of my life. So please feel free to correct me on points, which you feel, are discrepant. Back to the main topic, discrimination of the sexes. When this planet was made, Men and Women were made as well, males and females were made so, that they cannot reproduce without the other, and would have likely died out if not for each other. (Although now with technology, I would actually boldly state that Women can reproduce without men, if you know about Dolly the sheep, you will roughly know where I am coming from, but that’s besides the current point.) Therefore, since both are needed to reproduce wouldn’t one think that they ought to be equals? Unfortunately, no, Men are Women are made differently; Women are mysteriously made weaker, physically, compared to Men. A man can easily kill a woman with his bare hands whereas the opposite is not true for the woman. (but both are quite mentally competent if I may say so myself.) Have you ever watched documentaries on animals like National Geographic? If you did, you would have noticed that the alpha male is the strongest in the pack, physically strongest I would add. Hence it could be possible to say that the discrimination of the sexes is an animal instinct. (Essential for the survival of the fittest, if not for such a thing, I think a lot of species would have died out) Men are generally stronger; a woman could exercise the same amount as a man and not get any muscles, whereas the man could easily get bulky. In order to reproduce, we can’t have a pregnant lady fighting a dinosaur and risking a miscarriage, and effectively failing in reproduction and resulting in the death of the species. Hence it could be likely that the reason Women were not made that strong was because they don’t need that strength unlike Men. So the Men had to do the dirty and dangerous work. But again looking at animal instinct, (as humans have been said to be animals, but the most well evolved one) the physically strongest of the pack becomes the leader. Thus, I would say that it is the most plausible reason why the Women follow the Men. If a Women refuses to follow it would be quite easy to put her in place by just hitting her (as some beings lower than the human race, nay, they cannot even deserve to be called humans, do even to this very day). Women would most likely lose in a physical fight (forget martial arts, the idea here is if the woman knows martial arts the man knows it as well. She would most likely still lose; it’s a battle of strength here). Hence, it started the dominance of Men over Women. Imagine in the stone age, when a man saw a woman he liked, he would hit her on the head and drag her back to his cave by her hair!! To be his so-called “wife”. (As there was no such term then) What brutality, even a woman during the Stone Age had no right of choosing her own husband and is instead brutally kidnapped. What discrimination is this?! This passed on into the centuries, where Women were taken as wombs, and were not educated, nor was the need seen. Being uneducated, Women were brought up to have conservative minds to listen to the Men and just be obedient. (like the case in Salt Lake City if I’m not wrong, some sort of religious sect) This was enforced with the introduction of religion with the formation of governments. (Which I felt was actually meant to control the economy, i.e. the taxation, rules and the beginning of law etc notice that all the religious leaders are all Men!!) And most likely the males all got arrogant, as this kind of act gives them the feeling of power, the feeling of power they have over Women, another human being. Thus, giving birth to ego and most likely the chauvinistic Men. Women however suffered, brilliant minds were snuffed out, the Men continued to subdue Women and built a society for Men. (Look at history at the ancient civilisations, all ruled by Men, Women had no place in politics or ruling; Women were not even allowed on the Olympic grounds, what more to join in, and could only watch it from a far.) But, thankfully, I guess the Men started to realise, that having an uneducated Women, as they progressed wasn’t very good. Some Men preferred intellectual Women, and it was better if Women could at least read. And thankfully, there were some fathers out there who felt that his daughter deserved an education (usually happens when they are denied sons and uses the daughters as substitutes, but some really do think that their daughters should have a right to education, thank goodness for fathers like that). Thank goodness for some of the Men who had the right mind to look at the other side of the coin, and decided that Women are not stupid, and ought to be educated as well. Hence slowly, the females were being educated. But with education, some of them started to think on their own, and started asking for equality, something non-existent, unless in my opinion, the day comes where Men can carry a baby in their body, suffer through the pains of child birth and give birth to it. What they are actually looking for, I would personally say is better rights, less oppression, better access to knowledge, and overall a better life. Not a life hidden away in the shadows. In those days they even had clubs especially for Men, where Women were not allowed to join or even work in. (That could probably well explain the male domination of most professions as Women were just expected to sit at home and mind the children.) Since Women weren’t educated until later. Women who dabbled in things we would call scientific, such as traditional herbs and healing medicines were called witches and burnt at the stake whereas the Men were revered as Scientists, the injustice of it all. We are in some sense lucky that some Men had loved their wives, daughters, sisters or mothers enough, and revered them a higher standing and allowing them to inherit property. (Such as the ancient Egyptian empire, if I am not wrong, the mother of the King holds and honourable position) Thus in effect, raising the status of Women in society, and allowing it to evolve into what it is today. There are Men out there who don’t view Women as sexual objects but as human beings like them, who should be given, whenever possible the equal opportunity as Men, and thank goodness for Men like that. Though now as more Women get educated, they are also learning to fight for their rights, as human beings, Women should not be treated like a slave, or a womb, just to give birth, or cook and clean for the family. Unfortunately I’ve noticed that although society is changing, a number of Men still cannot except that Women are being independent, especially the urban Women, and most Men feel threatened by that. Threatened by the fact that they are no longer needed to put food on the table or as the protector of the family because the Women are capable of that. Thus they think independent Women are not cute, and buy brides from other countries. The Men’s chauvinistic character it would seem unfortunately did not recede with the change of position and status of the Women folk. We could also say that society does not really allow them to as well. (But it can be seen that the younger society is attempting to change.) It is like a stereotype that we were born with, where boys were wrapped in a blue blanket and girls in pink. However, we can note and see that girls will wear blue and play with cars and trucks, but the same is usually not true for boys, though some of them may now wear soft pastel pink, but they frown against playing with dolls and see it as wrong. The society’s perception set in their minds since centuries ago, that these are Women things, Men will not do it. And the Women’s thinking that, she no longer wants to be oppressed and will break into the Men’s world and do what the Men can. I think it is a fact, Men can never be Women and vice versa, what is left is to just respect each other. Women should respect the fact that Men are physically stronger and are meant to do certain kinds of work, which actually by fact, if the Women really wanted it, and with the help of technology she can do as well. (It’s like girls playing with cars but boys not playing with dolls.) And Men should respect Women, understand that they are the weaker sex, but they definitely should not be oppressed and be given better or if possible equal rights/opportunities (such as equal opportunity for education). Society should be taught that girls are okay too (China should stop killing baby girls). We are not stupid or useless; we can inherit property as well. And we can actually carry on the surname as well (as in Japan where the son-in-law may be adopted into the family and carry the wife’s surname). What I’ve noticed in society is that there is still a general lack of respect for Women, sure the highly educated/professionals respect, or at least try their best to respect each other no matter the sex, but when you get rapists and molesters, this are typical Stone Age Men who have failed to evolve, and still wish to empower Women, and who do not respect Women and most likely think they don’t have to be respected. Society deserves a hard smack on the head, and taught to think with an open mind, it doesn’t matter if this discrimination has been so deeply embedded in culture, if there are people, Men and Women willing to fight for it, someday, we may be looking at a future where Women will have rights almost equivalent to the Men, where Women will get the respect their deserve; respect almost, or I hope actually equal to Men. It feels like a Utopian dream, but it could be possible with the right education, and with the right minds, and will to change societies. Men on the other hand shouldn’t be thinking that because Women want equality that they should do everything themselves, like from what I’ve noticed in my scouting, for example in chopping wood, the boys will not help the girls saying they are strong enough. I don’t really think that is the point. As stated it is a fact, Women are the weaker sex, we don’t have as much physical strength, besides it is being courteous to help a friend, is it not? If your friend, regardless of sex were having difficulty chopping the wood, which you know you’re most likely capable of, would you not offer your help? (You should, it’s manners. So learn, society lacks manners, especially, sadly, in this country as posted before based on the little survey I did sometime back around last year.) So yes, respect each other, and help each other, you chop the wood & I can help you sew, I don’t really see the problem with that as long as Women are not treated as objects but normal human beings like the Men. (We were after all made differently) I think that is in effect what Women are actually looking for, but couldn’t word properly. (Hence the word “equality”) So to the, Men please respect the Women, and to the Women, please respect the Men, and to both sexes, please continue to strive for better rights for Women. (We should not be locked at home, not allowed to leave the home unaccompanied, we should not feel fear walking out on the street alone, we should all be given equal education, we should have the right to choose our spouse, we do not need to hide. Society can free Women, and the first step has to be taken by us all) Also this might seem quite feminist, but I think Men should just endure it when Women say it’s the Men’s fault for a certain number of things (such as society’s mentality and way of thinking), as we can all associate it to the discrimination of their fore fathers and fathers before that, i.e. the Men of old, it’s the least they could do for the centuries of oppression of Women, though they will argue that they aren’t like that. But it’s a fact that society was made like that, and it’s good that they realise that though, and are hopefully willing to change society, cause if they don’t aren’t they then the same as their forefathers and fathers before that? To the Men, hey what’s wrong with wearing florescent pink and playing with dolls? -Oracl3- P/s: this discrimination of the sexes can actually be applied to the discrimination of races etc, one race thinks it’s more superior than the other, and well they have the numbers to enforce that thought by forming society, and there you have it. Discrimination, again I would say, education and teaching people to broaden their horizons will help to alleviate this problem somewhat. And people need to stop thinking they are so damned special when we are all humans, when we get cut, no matter the skin colour, our blood is all red. (But as I said it’s a Utopian concept or we wouldn’t be having any wars now would we?) Yes, rejoice, there are no funny emoticons in this post.. and i apologise for the length, now you know why i wanted to stop cutting and pasting from MSN?? haha.. debates like this can run for hours, and pages...
Due to the fact that I was too busy cutting and pasting Nick’s reasons and arguments as to why he supports Barisan Nasional, to be honest I didn’t really give his points much thought (As a female, I can’t multitask after all.. so sad…), and couldn’t answer him properly. But that conversation, now that I look at it again, made me think of how I would like to structure my arguments properly. Because as Nick said to me, somewhere in the conversation, he claimed that I couldn’t even give him facts or reason on the party that I supported…
To me, this is a reply to Nicholas, because I feel that, he doesn’t seem to know both sides of the coin of Malaysian politics. This is in no way lashing out at him, but I am just stating my views. His views unfortunately to me, doesn’t seem to hold much political grounds at all, and it seems to be centralised only what is happening around him, politics involves the whole nation, it is a national issue.. It is not only about our PJU, and what we see happening around PJU or Selangor for that matter.
Please be informed that I actually do not like politics, but I know I can’t avoid it, so when I was eligible to vote, I started looking and reading up about both DAP and BN, and made my stand from there. Thus, I will humbly admit that my knowledge on politics is shallow, and apologise in advance for anything, which I might say, that might be offending, or irrelevant.
Honestly, this is a sensitive issue to debate about, and we could go on and on. It’s the same like debating with someone as to why I am a Buddhist and you a Christian.. I am sure this post will spark a lot of controversy among my blog readers, but please do not let this lead to blood shed.. (Figuratively speaking and well literally…) ~~~~
Firstly, he thanks the government i.e. BN for the fact that we have infrastructure, education, and that we have the highest human resource rate. The fact that we don’t need to work as maids, is something to be thankful for.. To me, any government that has been put into parliament will carry that out, that is called development, and it is an essential part to all countries. If the country doesn’t develop, then Malaysians will really still be living in trees and the current government won’t be around. It is the job of every government to develop the country, that is a given. But the fact that we are arguing here is that, our development is too slow, this is where the politics really comes in, compared to other countries, and I will state known statistics. In the 1960’s (I think…) an average Malaysian was earning 3 times the income of an average South Korean, but what has happened now? It’s the total opposite now. As a country that had a head start, as you said we had some help from the British, shouldn’t we be either on par or at least ahead of south Korea.. Why are we placed behind them? It might just be my way of thinking, but to me the reason why the government is slow in their development is just to ensure that they are in power longer. This is the politics I am talking about. Not about development and all. As I said it’s a given to develop, but it’s the rate of development, and the promises that the government makes. My reasoning is that, the government HAS to develop, they have no choice, but they do it at a slower rate, to make sure that people don’t get educated so fast. Why? Look at our area, it’s full of educated people, and what do they get? They get people which they can’t lie to anymore, they can’t tell us, that the malays or the Chinese or Indians are bad people and they are going to slaughter us, they can’t do that. Most of us urban folks have the internet, the media can cover up as much as they want, and the best example is the BERSIH rally which I have already posted before, there’s even an interview done by Al jazeera on youtube about it, they interviewed the ministers, who couldn’t give satisfactory answers. The key to the power of choice to the urban folks is that, we have the Internet. The government can’t lie to us anymore. We know that Najib used the government jet to travel to Kelantan with his daughter to campaign there. And act which, by constitution and legally he should not have done, as parliament has already been dissolved, he is basically just like the other candidates contesting, he should not be abusing government which is ideally public property. That is only one of the instances where they abuse our taxpayer’s money. There are many more, they abuse their rights as well, government contracts are not given a public tender, instead nepotism is rampant, take for example in Kuching.. The CM gave the contract to his son without a public tender.. Because they (DUN I guess..) says that his son is capable. A contract for over 300 bridges!! Cronyism is running rampant in the government. Studies have shown that when a government is in power for too long, nepotims and cronyism is bound to be rampant, corruption as well.. It’s a fact.. I can’t remember where I read it from, but I recall that same article as saying, with prolonged ruling by the same government, a country becomes less democratic and more autocratic.. I see that coming on… somehow… So basically, the country needs and opposition. To dig out the dirty secrets of the current government and to inform the people on what is going on.. Or we will forever be complacent Malaysians who won’t even know what is going on in our own country. The slow development of our country is like Shih Huang Tee (the first emperor who unified china) chopping the heads off people who are smarter or outspoken so as to prevent a revolution… Except that our government doesn’t exactly chop off heads, they just slow down development, because peasants who don’t what is going on, who have their daily bread and butter, are just content with what they have, and they won’t rally against the government for a change.. That’s is one of my stand about. As an educated person who has gone across the oceans for a year, and for one who is blessed with stability and with no worries of earning my daily income, I realise that there is unfairness going around. Unlike content peasants (not meant to be degrading, it’s just a figure of speech) I can read, and find out more about the government. I can find out that the UMNO leaders are lining their pockets more and more, while the peasants themselves remain poor. Is this what a government is supposed to do, they remain rich and comfortable, while the people remain poor? The only ones that are living really comfortably, are those in the urban areas, the most developed state is Selangor, why? Because the capital of Malaysia is there… it’s also obvious that racism is still rampant around, why must I be treated like a second-class citizen in my own country? Why are the university quotas still there? Just because I didn’t go to a public university, that doesn’t mean I don’t feel the pinch. It’s because of those quotas, resulting in the difficulties to get into the local universities, not getting your choice of subjects, it’s the very reason why I (and my parents) chose to go to private institutions. Because of the quota, people who deserve a place in universities are not getting in, those that don’t are getting in. imagine a straight A student being unable to get in, but a student with only 5As getting in, just because of his race. This has caused the levels of our education centres to drop so drastically. A lecturer who teaches in UM says that the students are hopeless, teach them how to build a 3 storey building, and when you ask them to build a 6 storey building, they will look at you and ask: “how do I do that?” It is a fact, that this has been causing our quality of education to drop, so the opposition is fighting to abolish the quota system, and I support that. I don’t have to go to a public university to support such a decision. What does this result in, more and more people are going overseas to pursue their education, especially the Chinese, because we believe in quality education for a better life. The government doesn’t give us a single cent for our education overseas; our parents have to stinge and save to send us all overseas. And guess what, example are pharmacists, their parents’ stinge and save to send them overseas, and when they come back they have to serve the government for 3 years!! Where is the fairness in that? If they were sponsored by the government that is a different story.. It’s exploitation by the government. Imagine if my parents didn’t have to save for my education like that did, I would be living an even more luxurious life and be travelling every year. If we had quality education here, we wouldn’t have to look across the oceans, we could save even more, as you said the exchange rate isn’t cheap.. My going overseas has nothing to do with the government, my parents work like everyone else, but they are just good in handling their finances, just because they were both serving in the government, and it’s like by a miracle that they manged to send us all overseas, isn’t true, they had to go through their hardships, an name callings (hey people call us low class, and stingy) It’s the same about affording cars. It’s not like the government is subsidising or anything, it’s the people’s own savings or bank loans... but this also shows that our own people have no faith in our own national cars. Isn’t this a bad sign instead? I have a proton, and it sucks.. We only bought it because we can’t afford any other car, because we were saving for my (and my siblings) education.. The reason I m doing this (i.e. voting) is for the future generation and for my peers. I don’t only look at what is around me. I can obviously see that new highways are being built, but guess what, the highways and new buildings were built without consultation of the residents. (It’s stated in the constitution, they are supposed to meet with the residents to discuss the issue). There is no equality in that, because the government has been in power too long, they have taken us for granted and are just doing things their way. This is our wrath, of the unfairness, of the corruption and racism we have tolerated for years. It’s not about development not about reducing taxes.. Though it is true that, maybe things like lower insurance and tax do occur, imagine if the government had hiked it up. There are things, which they MUST do to stay in power, you can’t just sit up there and do nothing, and they have to carry out policies. And this is just some of them to keep the people happy in the hope that they will vote them again in the next elections. Honestly, I could go on and on, it never ends, the things that we want improvements of, but it would be easier for me, if you read other things besides the mainstream media like Malaysia today. I’m not asking you to read the oppositions’ magazines. But look at other news source like al jazeera. We all know that our mainstream media is controlled as I’ve said before.. so we have to look at both sides of the coin and decide. The reason I can tell you that everyone of my blog readers seem to be lashing out at you is because, what you are saying isn’t really political in nature, it’s just a naïve, narrow statement of someone who didn’t look at the whole picture as a whole. You are just looking it at one point of view. Just because it doesn’t involve you (like the mentioned Chinese schools) you don’t seem to bother. It is a concern that we have to look into. I don’t know about other politics that you profess that you are good in, but this is our national politics, and it isn’t only bout what you say it is. As one of the readers posted in the cbox: Just because the Chinese is rich without the government’s help that doesn’t mean it’s a good thing. Maybe it’s because you have been stationed in Malaysia all the while so you don’t see the whole big picture, but those of us who have been, we’ve seen it all, and so we oppose the government. But I think that, although it plays a factor, that is not an excuse, because we live in a city and we have the Internet, we can make our own informed decisions if we have the correct attitude. Even those Malays who are educated overseas, they don’t agree with the government. It’s a fact that our country is changing, and the young ones are speaking out, and we want a change. 50 years of ruling, and the country is still racially segregated. We appreciate the development, but we know, that they could have done better, but they didn’t do so, just for their very own selfish reasons. Nick, you have to wake up and smell the roses. It’s not about seeing what they have done for you. As I said.. If you don’t give other people a chance you won’t know, and it’s not like a rich man giving all his money away. The rich man take on projects where he has to part with a substantial amount of his money, to achieve greater results. Rich man take risks. Some calculated, and some not... -Oracl3- P/s: Nick don’t take this to personally… and sorry I couldn’t debate properly on MSN yesterday. Just take it as I’m someone who needs to collect her thoughts first before she can argue :p

Since it seems that i'm very anti BN, i got a friend who supports BN, to give me some insights as to why he supports their party... Though sadly for BN he's not registered.. This was taken from my MSN chat room... unedited, except for some blatant spelling mistakes that had to be corrected less misunderstanding arises..
since this is unedited and from my chat room, don't mind the acronyms.. so now i invite my blog readers to read the conversation (or lack of it on my part, too busy cutting and pasting.. )between a BN and Opposition supporter.
for comments please comment in the comment section NOT THE CBOX..Nicholas Leong (Nick): Well our current lifestyle is only possible thanks to them. Not MCA, not Gerakan, nor any opposition party. We can afford good tertiary education without having the need to even mortgage our house like how some people needed to years back. Economically we're at stable point. We've got the highest human resource rate and our people do not need to outsource themselves to other countries like how Indonesia and Phillipines (thats why we have no 'Malaysian maids') The media ruling under Badawi has actully been more relaxed as compared to when Mahathir was in power. True our nation is still semi-autocratic, but last time things about DAP and all that you'll never even get the chance to hear cause Mahathir will just ISA everyone to hell if he has to Like I say la. I'm realistic. I support BN not because I'm pro-BN but because of where we are today lerh Malay are the lowest income earners today (lower class, losing to even lower class indians CHinese is by far the richest race without all their support, and Badawi/Malaysia although slow but is steadily opening up to globalise trade car insurance and tax all were slightly significantly lower than before also (my lecturer checked right after class and he mentioned it to me also) more and more people can now afford foriegn cars in Malaysia, and Badawi isn't pro-Proton despite having to help it la (Proton plays a very huge role in our country's economy thats why they cannot simply remove it) Technically, there is no such thing as pure 'equility' lerh Mahathir has mentioned it before, that this was an Islamic nation based on our roots, its true lo that the other races were not the first one as per-say to claim this land as our original soil based on ancestrial The one race ruling (Malay) has a significant role also wan Our country is made out of 3 main races imagine if there were no proper governess for it, what would it be like Indians and Chinese and Malays will DEFINATELY fight like crazy and there would actually be less race accepting than we would now. Once the three races were considered closer than they are now, mainly because the new generation forgot why we have to put up with the other races and lets face it if the CHinese were in power do you think we would give face to the other parties? other races no chance also its a rational thing. look at Singapore and China are they more liberal with their publics as our government is with us? and those countries are ruled by Chinese Singapore enjoys huge economic success mainly because of the ratio of its land, combined with early British help in administration and then you know la chinese, money is in our blood or something Me : hey msia also had help ok. n all spore has is oni man power they don't have natural resource. yet their yrly turn out is 30 mil usd u noe how much is ours? 3.5 mil. wat u r saying is wat they hv done in the past, n i m not asking for a chinese govt to rule msia.i want a united party as i stated on my blog..
Nick: Yea, but look at the policies imposed on the nation. There is no such thing as a pure united party in Malaysia wan le. Its very clear ever since Malaysian Idol 2 also. Easy only. All I ask is what has DAP done for us lo. Or at least for me and my family. I'm not asking something large scale. True the media let government control, but I'm sure word of mouth like how I get to know PAS isn't all its what it is potrayed to be Me: so all this u jsut get fr main stream media la tat means? you didn't look at other sources, like other people's blog, or online news? like malaysian today, or malaysia kini?
Nick: On the contrary, I'm actually un-affected by the media. You htink I don't know all the useless speech and messages made meh. come on, have you read Aliran? An Opposition support mag. Its pretty small lerh. 'nipis' not small lol. I htink amongst all of you. I can surpass you all as a politician la. Its in my blood. But for what I've seen, the opposition keep on slandering the government only. years after years they slander I mean our parents and those before them, I'm sure they would have been like us at one stage rite, but most of them now support BN. There is a reason to why they're doing it lerh Me:dont you think that the govt also slanders them as well? they are both the same. but from what you are saying it's like you are just to comfortable for a change, BN is too powerful liao that they think they can do whatever they wan.. thats wat we are fighting to change.
we want transparency, we want to know where our tax payer's money goes to, we want the chinese rights to be heard, the indian rights to be heard. look at chew mei fun, such a poor thing, beaten down to nothing. she can't even have her own say anymore..
Nick: Fact remains, what has DAP, PAS or PKR done for us. Very simple only. I omit media information la. I see the world around me, and listen to those around me. Now I'm dumb founded about the opposition la alright? So what have they done for us that you know of that benefitted us? Me: if you don't give the opposition the chance to prove themselves what can we do? we have to show the govt tat we are aggrieved.. supporting BN all the way don't you think we are being taken for granted?Nick: To me I have nothing against the opposition, its just that I need a reason to support them. They can tell me stuffs. I'm a Mass COmm student graduating in Journalism, Public Relations and Media Broadcasting and its Policies. Heaven forbid I don't know how politics work in one way or another. Its opening up slowly lo. Say edi compared to Mahathir's time we don't know anything and can't do nuts liao. You chatting with me on this is a testament how we are able to communicate about the scenario. I owuld give them a fighting chance, if I have actually 'felt' or have seen what they have done for those around me and myself lo. see ah, if I give them chance la, or they get chance. and they don't get fundings la k? Lets say government being an ass (actually, other countries don't actually give fund to opposition parties as well if you follow their progress. then our fresh party of course need fundings rite? SO they can do two things 1. They have their own funds either by themselves or through the citizens 2. Attack government for being inconsiderate Then how long will they be doing that? A political party cannot function without having own reserves. Me: you see the problem is, that we have to elect them to give them a chance..it's telling a witness u cant testify in ct cos u nvr testify before.. there's no logic in that, you have to give them a chance to prove themselves, and looking at teresa kok, she's ok wat.. well u talking about parliament or state seat not getting their money? anyway either way, they will get it, it's just harder.. but still that is even more a reason to vote against the government, they are too strong, i mean what happens when there is only one dominant party? yyes you may get ur infrastructure and stuff, but w/o competition they won't improve Nick: All I ask, is a reason to give chance to the opposition. Telling me "We will see the difference after" is like gambling everything away. What if I odn't see any changes and then you say it takes time, and time, and in the end we got like 20years down the road liao. Dominant then mai dominant lo. They are the dominant party anyways and look at us now. you and your siblings can even go overseas, and when you came back yo ufelt dissatisfied also. it shows our country's condition is not that bad edi. We we don't see it like that is because we demand more and more at a rapid rate. We want to equalize that with other foriegn countries Me: hey, my siblings n i going overseas has nothing to do with the govt, my parents had to stinge away to get my siblings and i sent overseas.. if i was sponsored by the govt tats a diff story, but i wasn't,getting into public uni's or getting the choice tat u wan in public uni's aint easyNick: yea, thats what I'm talking about. your parents don't even need assiting funds to send you all overseas and exchange rate is not cheap. thats why we forget. we always "no assistance' but look at us now. Was I sponsored? I didn't get to go Aus to study and I don't even complain Why must I be sponsored then only I support? Bare in mind public sector their own was and that much is same for foriegn countries. If there is no real gains or interest 'support' is stand alone Me: tats cos u r easily content, to you, you are happy with what you have, you don't crave change. i mean, to me that's your character, as long as you are comfortably off, you don't give a damn about anything elseNick: that is where you're wrong. none of you can give me the answer I need. I mean its real simple. Convince me. All I ask is what has those parties done for me, minus I have to go read journals and mags about what they have done. I didn't do it for our current ruling government (I didn't purposely find what they have done for us via media, everything is very clearly seen) so as the opposition, I'm sure thats not too much to ask. DOn't tell me what can and will be done. tell me what has been done. Who you as a millionaire just give up have your life's money to an unknown stranger without basis? Even Donald Trump doesn't hire for fun on my comments to end the interview as i was tired of cutting and pasting, and having trouble from paying full attention to his arguments... and also as it seemed that this conversation was getting me no where, except increasing my annoyance..Nick: See? There it is again ignorance You support a party you cannot even defend Me: i dont call tat ignorance. i dont call tat ignorance. u talk n talk. but all u wan is results. u r no risk taker. so tats sufficient already, wats there to elaborate more.. ur stand is tat, "i m not taking risks.". while i m willing to take the risk.. so i want to avoid thing from getting heating upNick: Hahaha attack me for all you want. You cannot defend what you do not even full grasp. Bare in mind politicians are politicians la, Besides, I cannot vote marh. See? It gives you all more motivation to make that change. I can't vote for BN and thats less a vote. I take risks more than you ever will. don't judge me on that part. I'm so ashamed you would attack me like that. I guess thats why I support BN. to people like you who don't even say thanks Me: i already stated my stand in my blog posts already. so its fine tats ur stand n tats my stand, n from wat u r saying.. it seems to me tat u don wan to take risks, u oni wan results, whcih can oni b shown by the party who is currently in power.
about my statements. i don't find anything wrong with that, wat's there to be ashamed of? i'm jsut stating what think..
Nick: What is there to say when I'm talking to someone that has to attack me on my credibility lol. I didn't say you were an ungrateful young ingrate or anything now did I? And yes I take more risks than you will ever take during your life stime so don't cal lme someone who doesn't take risks Me: i m not talking about those kind of risks, i m talking about political risks.. those are different things. see tats y i wanted to stop, its becoming an argument already .
so what if i m ungrateful to the govt, for all they have done.. i believe in change, and our govt needs it after being 50yrs in power.. tats too long they are becomning like dictators, its no longer democratic..
Nick: Give me a reason to support. Thats all I ask. Minus what is to be promised, do you not think I'm taking a risk of my own supporting a party that could have done seemingly so much more than what they have already done in 50 years? Me: why do we need to support? there are various reasons. why do you think there is HINDRAF and BERSIH..? we want transparency, we don't know how the govt is using our tax payer's money, we are not getting the rights we want, the quotas in the public universities, we wanted more chinese schools etc.. all this are the issues the chinese community are looking forNick: Do you know what Hindraf demanded or no Me: they are lobbying fortheir rights, they started after the temple was demolished 2 days before deepavaliNick:Not really. We wern't form Chinese schools. There was a chinese school beside our own school and you didn't even go to it x_x Me: jsut because we didn't go to a chinese school, doesn't mean we can't lobby for it? its' for the future generation, look at how many of you ppl cant speak chinese let alone read and write, so wat id i wanna snd my kids to a chinese school in the future? there is a lack of itNick: They also wanted repayment from the Brits. which the amount was absurd Me: i know, we future lawyers were discussing it. but do u noe wat happened at their march? the govt refused to give them a permit, and the excuse they gave was not enough police force to ensure the safety of the ppl and yet they had enough police to come out to fire tear gas and water cannons.Nick: I know ah. I'm in Malaysia the entire time don't know also will know lerh. Foriegn countries also required rallies to have a approved permit before they can do anything wert (a riot is another matter) tear gas and watercannons, even Indonesia or some other country might not be as forgiving ah. Straight away hentam. Me: let's end this, we have our own beliefs so i don't want this to be an argument...
(n/b: it's not that i'm giving in, both sides are not relenting.. it's just that i'm too tired and lazy to argue liao, all my arguments have been stated in my posts before this and i need to wake up tomorrow morning to go vote.. looks like my parents want to be the early birds.. ) i left him with two site from malaysian kini supplieed by satoshi kun.. which i shall go read now.. http://www.malaysiakini.com/letters/79351 http://www.malaysiakini.com/letters/79350 -Oracl3-

For a short and sweet version please go to ccymie's blog :)
Well.. I think the title is clear enough? Yesterday I went clubbing for… the second time in Malaysia. Can’t really consider the first time I clubbed in zouk Malaysia… cause well I was still Cinderella during that time and left early, and also I couldn’t dance at all at that time, compared to now haha… Anyway the reason for this post was cause a friend asked me what is the difference between clubbing here and the United Kingdom. So thinking about it, I guess a penny for my thoughts here :p To the people in the UK, and Malaysia, well read with an open mind, in case further down this post I criticize the clubs in both country. Which is actually definite to happen haha… First a short introduction as to where I went and with whom. So yesterday I went to a club in KL called Maisons (hope I got the name right), and whom did I go with? Well with huey, satoshi kun, xian ai and 3 of her friends, so that was 7 of us. And after that I met Horng Yang there. Well actually among the friends that I asked he was one of them, but he came separately with his own friends. Also, met some old schoolmates there, met the blur wei hao (from scouts ;p – explanation for cheese, there were two wei haos in my year back at high school, so the wei hao that we both know is just wei hao and the other one is called “blur” wei hao ;p), we also met Kevin song and chun hao, both were mine and satoshi’s classmate in form one. Meeting old classmates and schoolmates there, haha and according to horng yang, sau man and Christina ng were there as well, I didn’t meet either, cause well I especially didn’t one to see one of them, and the other one, well I just didn’t see her… Well, besides meeting old friends, we just got a table some drinks and off to the dance floor till the smoke overwhelmed me, and we left at about 2.15am as we were all tired. So now that I’m done with that, let’s see, the difference between Malaysian clubs and UK clubs… Number one I would say the cigarette smoke!!! Ergghhh I hate the smell, and as I am also sensitive/allergic. Causing all sorts of reactions from my body. Most of all causing me difficulties in breathing, leaving me feeling nauseated, coughing, stuck with a headache… (mixed with alcohol, the effects are worse on me…) and the list goes on and on… arggh the smell even stayed in my hair after I showered, but that’s usual… But well on the other hand, the clubs in the UK were only smoke free after the 1st of July 2007, so actually before that I was clubbing in a place full of smoke as well, but I feel that Malaysians are worse smokers.. The whole place was literally filled with smoke, compared to the clubs that I went to in the UK. Mango bar wasn’t that smokey, and neither was the student union. Though revolution was quite smokey due to the fact that they had shishas there… but the club in leeds was the best as that was after the smoking ban, at least my allergies aren’t that bad anymore, and I could take a few hours of the smoke, with me constantly drinking water. So, I guess on this round the clubs in the UK wins… The second thing, is just as important as the first one to me, actually I think it’s very important which made me a little paranoid bout clubbing in Malaysia, but I guess due to our Malaysian society, which is more conservative, and I guess we respect women more here than in the UK, in some sense I felt that I was slightly more safer to club here. Reason? Well the whole night last night, my ass was not harassed. In the UK unless I was accompanied by a guy friend wherever I went, and/or if I was walking around the club alone, let’s say to look for friends or something, my ass usually gets harassed, which is a real pain, because, well I don’t like to be touched without permission, and well, who gives permission to people to touch their butts? = .=’ [apparently a friend in the UK disputed this fact saying that it's a compliment that they touched my ass.. o_0'] And well guys in Malaysia are more gentlemanly as well, they let you pass and all, most of the time without laying a finger on you, [97% of the time..] so that made me feel kind of safer when I was walking around the club alone looking for my other friends. Also guys in Malaysia don’t simply grab and separate you from your friends to make you dance with them, and at the same time harass you. So this is a plus point for Malaysian clubs I guess. On another note, the stepping on my feet and pushing [though not much pushing, people here are more courteous than in UK, people here give way - so polite :) ] me around is still as rampant here as it was in the UK, but my attitude is still the same. I finally got pissed after I got stepped on one too many times, that the poor unsuspecting guy in front of me who stepped on me, felt my wrath as I shoved him, my short temper is still the same haha, to get through the crowds when I’m pissed I get kind of rough and push my way through haha… basically I become a bitch when pissed… haha >:p i don't know whether was it because it was ladies night or what, but those guys who were not dancing but just ogling at girls dancing were a real pain cause they were taking up space, if you ain't dancing, don't hog the dance floor, we are already cramped enough = =' they were the reason it was so hard to walk through...thus resulting in me getting stepped on and losing my temper.. and well guys in the UK they don't do things like that such as ogle....ok... i mean some do, but at least dance with the girls or something... and don't ogle so bloody openly... or do it from the sides... well come to think of it the word "ogle" is kind of harsh, so basically i will say they were staring... Next issue will be the music, the club that I went to yesterday only played R & B and I’m sure most of you know that I don’t like that genre, though I can still dance to it, once I get the beat. But the songs sucks, even the clubs in the UK plays better R & B, and at least they don’t repeat, there were some songs which were repeated at least three times yesterday… and where was Shakira???!! There was no Shakira…. Arghhh … stupid… Hmmm~ what else? Oh yes, the crowd was insane, never have I been to a club where you can’t even walk… yesterday’s crowd was mad, it was so packed that you could hardly move, and wherever you dance you get pushed, and it’s so crammed that you could hardly move, what more dance… according to horng yang it’s because it’s ladies night… but I wouldn’t know, since I don’t club… till I got to the UK. even if i club in malaysia, because of the prices i think i will only go if it's ladies night, so i guess it will make no difference as i still wouldn't be able to tell the difference..haha actually it could have been the same in the UK, but i didn't realise it that much, as i was kind of protected i guess, by the guys, Aansan, Dave, Rory..etc... but still protected by them or not.. the dance floor there wasn't that crammed, as said above, it's atributed to the staring guys, and well why is the dance area so small? get rid of all those bloody tables la... taking up space only.... small club really... And that same crowd made the place so hot and stuffy, and I felt like I was being slowly suffocated, what with the smoke and all, we didn’t have such problems in the UK…. The lay out and the design of the club is somewhat similar to the UK, the club we went to yesterday, to me is considered small (been to bigger clubs ;p even the union had a bigger dance floor.. and i m not talking about 360..360 is definitely bigger, i'm talking about the dance area in cafe mondail..), so maybe that’s why it’s so stuffy, what with that amount of people in there. I guess that it could also be the timing as well, in the UK people start dancing around 10.30-11pm, and it just gets hotter (more happening) from then on, and well, it’s as if people take turns dancing and drinking so it doesn’t ever feel that stuffy or crowded (at least you could still move!!), in the clubs in the UK. Malaysians on the other hand seems to be interested only in drinking, and only start dancing after 12… either that or they are shy, and need to get themselves drunk or high first before hitting the dance floor.. Which to me is kind of stupid (the interested in drinking part..)… Cause well I go to clubs to dance, if you want to drink, go to a bar… that’s what UK people do… also you don't need alcohol to dance wert.. so i guess malaysians are just shyer than the brits, and well we feel pai seh, if we just go out n start dancing when tehre is no crowd, we don't have such problem in the UK cause people will be already there dancing, and we just join in.. Besides that, another thing is price, in the UK cause of the currency one does not really feel like one is spending a lot, as it costs like usually £3-4 to enter a club and drinks may cost you a minimum of £5 (depending on how much you drink it could be less than that as well). But once converted, actually Malaysian clubs are still cheaper, but unfortunately we don’t get much variety as Malaysian clubs goes by bottles, the price also includes how many bottles you open, so that’s the downside, I couldn’t drink what I wanted, but we just had to finish the whole bottle of whatever we got, which was by the way Bacardi Limon… (tastes nice with limejuice though haha, though I would have liked vodka and lime juice instead, it would be the closest I can get to my vodka and lemonade… wonder if they actually have archers and lemonade in the club??) Workers at the club we went to seem friendly, constantly smiling at us.. I felt super weird cause the one in the UK doesn’t really do that (service with a smile? )… But as we were leaving the bouncer at the exit was an ass. One obvious difference for clubbing in Malaysia and UK is no coats :p haha in the UK whenever we went out, even though it was summer it could get chilly at night, so we needed coats/jackets, and it gets problematic on where to put your coat as my friends in the UK are all dancers as well, and it was definite that we would hit the dance floor. So I guess Malaysians save a little money on that aspect, that we don’t have to put coats in the cloakroom haha but on a side note, we’ve not experienced losing our coats when we just dumped them at a table… ;p I can’t think of any more differences but this last one, which is about the allocation of tables. In the UK we can just choose where we want to sit to drink or whatever, but apparently in yesterday’s club, the tables had to be reserved in advance, and well you are designated a table, so we got a table with no chairs and were standing for the whole night. That sucked big time, as we didn’t have a place to sit when we were tired of dancing, such a pain, and I felt that it was stupid as well… reserved my ass!! So… that’s all I can think of the differences between clubbing in both countries, it all has it’s pro and cons, but personally I prefer clubbing in the UK, no smoke :p and well the harassment can be avoided by getting a trusted guy friend to accompany me, [*Thinks of Aansan and Dave… miss those two guys, especially as my dance partners when we are out clubbing :) (Aansan… where are you?? :p)*] but dancing with huey and ai kun was fun too, and it looks like xian ai picked up some new moves from somewhere hehe.. My feet still hurts from getting trampled on =.=’ should have been more of a bitch and trampled back at others?? Haha I’m evil, but not that evil.. >:p -Oracl3- Labels: Debate, Personal Thoughts
egao just means smile, cause well, i am finally uploading some pictures (and smilng is associated with pictures, no?) in college. (it's much faster than home) so anyway the first picture to be uploaded is a picture from my dai kau fu's wedding. which was somewhere midyear last year. anyway, it's onlly 4 of us inside, my cousins and i and that's that. i forgot when was the wedding so i have no speicific date. for the upcoming pictures, i have also forgotten the date, but i have posted about the event before, so if you guys are really free you can cross refer hahaha. the second picture onwards are all events that happened in december, so just browse through my december posts if you feel like it. oh yes, besides the first picture the rest was taken by my camera heheh yes i am very proud of my camera.. from left is yen ling, me, wee yao (i know he's my cousin, but i have no idea how to spell his name haha) benjamin at Bentong Restaurant, in where else?bentong la.. i look kinda of flushed, cause i had a few glasses of wine that time haha now for more recent photos? well not very recent...
this was from last year, december i think, michelle (the one in red) had come back for her holiday, and we went out, i posted before, that we went to la manila on that day. well anyway here we are at my house, in my room hahha, i set the camera on auto to take this picture, no one was holding the camera for this one hahha. here are some pictures from the debate, the one that i screwed hahhah..

Well “arigatou” means “thanks” while “to” (pronounced as “toh” not “two”) means “and” and “gomen nasai” means sorry. So the whole title means “thanks and sorry”. This post is in regard to my screwed up debate last Saturday, 10th of December 2005. The title for the debate was “America’s influence has brought global progress” and I was on the opposition team. Sigh, this debate sucked big time; I only had like what? About 3 days preparation while the other side, which are the 1st years had at least 2-3 weeks, and I happened to know two of the speakers, they are people I know personally, and I knew that they would pull all the stops, and they did… So err.. The few days leading to the debate I was kind of stressed, couldn’t eat properly couldn’t sleep properly also, my god the horror. Sob~ anyway here’s the horror story. I froze up and blacked out during my turn, I didn’t faint mind you, my mind just went blank, suddenly. For those who know me personally and remember, back in high school, I guess that’s its kind of a surprise? I mean hey I am the girl who sang, acted, danced, and did choral speaking, poetry recitals etc. to freeze up like that it’s unnatural, even my mum was surprised, cause I like did a story telling back in primary school when I was, I think in standard 3 or 4. (She claimed that she was so proud of me then, hehehe) I still remember that the story was bout bears haha (no, it wasn’t Goldilocks and the 3 bears.. but there were 3 bears in my story too hahaha) the point is, am I not considered something like a performer with all that I have done? Well, but a point to note was that most of those things were done in groups, well except MC-ing that one I did mostly alone… Back to the debate… I was the third speaker, I was supposed to be the second and I was supposed to talk about the Iraq and Afghanistan war. And actually being the 3rd speaker, I was supposed to rebut everything else said by the proposition. Well, I started okay, the opening I mean, but when it came time to rebut, I actually did a lot of research, so that I can rebut you know, I spotted the kind of things that they were most likely to mention so that I can look it up and rebut. Sigh, anyway, I still wasn’t really very well prepared despite all the help that I got, also the help that I asked for was a little last minute, cause I thought that I could handle it by myself, and found out I couldn’t at the err… 9th hour hahaha (well I didn’t wait till the eleventh hour, that’s kamikaze) .. So anyway, I froze up forgot everything, tired to say some stuff, and ended up concluding right there and then. Sigh it was like so lame.. Anyway, that’s beside the point. I have finished mourning my stupid embarrassment. (Well to be exact it took me about 2 hours to get over it.. So I finished whining about it and saying that I won’t enter another one, haha, but for those who know me well enough, I will be another one if there ‘s another chance hahaha) This post is for me to thank all those that have helped me prepare for the Baka debate and sorry for wasting your effort and disappointing you guys. I’ll try harder next time, if any debate team still wants me after what happened haha.. So the people that have helped me and given me moral support, in no particular order.. I don’t care if this sounds like an Oscar speech hahaha A big thanks to my parents for giving me moral support by turning up for the debate, and giving me some information on America.. Michelle (Lim Ai Ann- for giving me some ideas for the speech part, her support and well almost everything la, she was like my counsel, oh and she consoled me to..), Xian Ai (for giving me moral support, helping with my speech, consoling me, and almost everything else too), Rowan(for giving me information about the war led by the Americans), Eugene,(for counselling me, and helping me with the opening sentences…) Raymond (for moral support and consoling me), Melissa (for moral support as well), Gene (for some information regarding America) and to everyone else who has given me support and who consoled me (oh this includes Jiun Yu- don’t know whether I spelt correct, Michelle Lim Sok Yen, Ms Sujata.. ) after the debate. Not forgetting to also thank the kind adjudicators,(they were Ms Sarah, Ms Jacky and Mr. Err, I don’t remember his name, he’s an American with a military background though hahaha) haha as Xian Ai was the one calculating the marks for the debate, she said that I got and overall score of 50 over 100,(I trust her word for it haha) haha that’s only 36 less then the best speaker’s points hahaha, for someone who froze up and forgot her stuff, well, those points I don’t know, maybe they meant to encourage me cause I did volunteer for this thing, the lecturers practically had to force people from the 2nd year to enter the debate, and I mean that literally.. Also, maybe it was because I know Sarah and Jacky personally too haha.. So anyway, that’s all regarding the debate.. One reason why I didn’t mull so much over it was well, besides it being my character to get over things fast and try harder next time, and also cause I got lots of comforting hugs hehe,( I am a touchy feely kind of person haha) my stress was all lifted and I actually felt like eating and sleeping, and on the same day as the debate I had a family dinner with my maternal side of the family. (I’m much closer to them, so its more fun for me hehehe) and there’s always good food there and wine and beer to drink hahaha Well, during the dinner, as always when my Dai Yi (Cantonese direct translation would mean big aunty but it just literally means oldest aunt on my mum’s side) hosts a party. There is always good food - buffet style, so I ate and ate as if I haven’t eaten for 3 days haha, which come to think of it, is quite true, I was stressed and didn’t eat much the past few days hahaha. The salmon made by my cousin sister (Sue) was delicious, but when I went for seconds, it was like gone sob~ sigh never mind there’s next time hahaha and baby Aidan is so damn cute!! Suge Kawaii no akachan!! (A super cute baby!!) He’s always laughing and smiling, such a jolly baby.. And so cute… Oh and as always on my maternal side gatherings there is always an almost free flow of alcohol hahaha. Claiming that I was still depressed (you never know, maybe I secretly still am haha) I had a can of beer, and almost a quarter bottle of wine? Or was it half? I don’t know how much wine I drank, cause my cousin was the one pouring it for me, but my mum was scolding saying I drank too much, (cause my face was red, it always turns red after I drink alcohol regardless of the amount taken..) while my cousins, who are by the way, younger than I am telling me I drank too little. (I don’t usually drink, so my limit is kind of low) Anyway I know my limit: one can of beer and almost a quarter to half the bottle of wine is enough.. (God, how much did Ben pour for me?) So anyway, I made full use of my camera on Saturday, Xian Ai and Michelle helped me take quite a number of pictures at the debate, and I took another ton of pictures at the dinner. And one with each cousin that I am close with, so five individual pictures with them, and two group ones with them, and some simply take here and there one la. Haha Okay, I guess that’s all for now. I am actually quite sleepy, I still haven’t bayar balik hutang tidur (if you remember your biology it’s supposed to be hutang oksigen..) haha so I guess that I will post this, wait for the song that I am uploading to finish, change the blog’s song (see ccy I am changing the song hahaha, all because you requested for it hahaha, actually I was also a bit sian liao hahaha) and then go to bed. This one is kind of long already, so till next time then people, matta ne. -Oracl3- Labels: ✿私の気持✿, Achievement, Anger, Appreciation, Debate, Education, Family, Friends, Rant
