Scent
Sometimes you smelt like fresh grass,
Sometimes like baby powder,
Sometimes like your dinner,
But most of all,
You smelt of you.

I bought a new bottle of perfume when I was in the Sydney Airport and I was trying to remember your scent. I think no scent in the world could describe your scent.
You didn't smell like those dogs which were left out in the rain, nor did you smell like leftover food or anything. You had a unique scent that I have no idea how to describe. I guess like humans, dogs have their own individual scents.
But I guess in the beginning, to those who aren't used to it, all dogs smell the same, and after you get used to it, you start to recognize your own baby's smell. Just like how dogs recognize their owner's smell, or just like how babies recognize their mother's scent.
During your last few days, I'm not sure whether letting you have some of my clothes to have my scent helped you in any way, but I'd like to think it did. I hope it did, you still looked so forlorn as you tried to wait for me.
Anyway, enough about that depressing thought, the main reason why this memory of scents is surfacing, is because of the perfume.
When I first got you, I mentioned that I couldn't stand your doggy smell and used to shower you every 3 days which, as I later found out, wasn't good for you.
But I still wasn't used to your doggy smell. So what did I do?
The craziest thing on the planet.
Hey, in my defense, I was young and not so bright.
Or basically, just wasn't using my brain and didn't think. lol
I just wanted the smell to abate. So...
I... Sprayed perfume on your collar, and let you wear it.
Of course with your sensitive nose, that was pure torture for you, and you ended up running around the house, trying to get away from the strong smell, but you couldn't because the perfume infused collar was on you.
I initially thought it was amusing, and was laughing at how cute you were from all the running.
Well, but when my brain did start working, I stopped this torture on you. And well, let's just say that I got used to your scent after that.

Hi Baby,
It's a rainy day here today. As usual I'm not sure what I should be doing (I mean I do have some work to do), then the thought struck me, when I started blogging again, I wanted to make space on my blog for you.
So today I tried it out and somewhat succeeded. I'm no programming genius, but I roughly figured out some things, and spent a lot of time trying to figure out the html codes.
In the end, I don't know why, but this blog isn't giving me the effect I desire, though when I try the codes out on a programming website, it comes out as I want it.
Will be asking for ccy's help on this. Then after this I need to brave the rain, the cold wind and think what I should do about dinner.
