✿ 未来が見える : Flow© ✿

The smooth surface, Almost mirror like, Watching it unknowingly, I entered its flow, Unconsciously submerged by it, Fighting to grasp the sky, Before being pulled down again, Following it’s flow, Unable to turn back, The road is set; I shall head to sea, Can you see the future? It’s unpredictable ✿Oracl3✿

Excuse me??!

" Good manners sometimes means simply putting up with other people's bad manners."

Sometimes you really have to wonder what other people are thinking...

Today, my parents and i went to Giant to shop for a pair of comfortable slippers/ sandals...

[i managed to get a pair, but not my mom.. the stock for her feet size had run out, for all the designs that she liked.. and i mean: All.. so she was a little unhappy, whereas i was happy, because we all know how shoe shopping is for me here in Malaysia.. but well, when i go to the expensive stores.. the probability of me finding one in my size increases.. what's left is whether i like the design.. and the practicality of it.. i.e colour etc.. ]

We had our eye on the good brands like Clarks and Scholl for quite some time..sure it's expensive here.. [i know they aren't cheap, but there's a saying, you get what you pay for] but at least.. it is comfortable... and not detrimental to our feet's health...

Last week in BU we were doing exactly just that, and i got hit in the eye by accident [but that was another story, already blogged about].. and didn't find anything i like.. and not in my size.. furthermore, the salesperson in BU didn't really seem happy to be doing any business... so we didn't really feel like buying...

Anyway, today, we went to Giant at KJ, to go to the Scholl shop there.. since we had decided that we like the Scholl designs more than Clarks, and well unfortunately the Scholl shop in BU didn't have our sizes, and weren't helpful..

Okay, what ever said below will make me sound like a rude/mean/bad person... but it's necessary... for the joke to get across...

So while shopping there, and trying on the shoes with a very polite and charming sales girl, who really knows the meaning of service with a smile... this lady [accompanied by her teenage daughter, also dressed similarly..].. dressed in clothes that we would usually wear at home, [pasar malam clothes?] entered the shop after we were in it for some time, trying on some shoes [slippers.. all the same..]...

Well, that lady's clothing isn't an issue. it's your personal preference what you wish to wear when you go out, as long as it's not indecent... i mean, you don't have to wear like a glamour queen just to go to a little shopping mall.. but i digress..

She saw us trying on shoes and all.. and was looking at the shoes as well.. then suddenly she asked me, if there was any discount.. mind you.. i was sitting down on the provided stool, after having tried on a pair of sandals.. in her presence.. [makes you wonder, where are her eyes?]

So, i thought maybe she just wanted to ask a fellow shopper.. [by the way all conversation with the lady happened in Cantonese..] i therefore merely answered, "i don't know... maybe there is.. for some items.. ask the shop keeper..."

And the lady, was so rude... she just ignored me, and continued to browse.. okay, fine, i'll give her the benefit of the doubt.. it could be my fault [spoke to softly or something..]... so we just continued.. my mom was standing quite near her, trying on shoes, when she suddenly asked for a size 6 for this certain slipper...

I raised my head to look at her, shocked... she looked at me, before looking at my mother... [her hand holding the shoe that she wanted in size 6 was facing my mother..] and just right before she asked my mom that.. i had just asked my mom.. "does this shoe look nice?".. so obviously my mom doesn't work there...

[and i spoke to my mom in Cantonese, so if she didn't understand English, it would be understandable.. but hello? we don't call sales girls as "mom".. nor do we say things like, "mom what about this?" to a sales girl... oh my God...]

What is wrong with that lady?

I mean, it's understandable if you had asked me.. but my MOM??? really... WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT LADY??

Well, i was shocked, my mom was shocked, heck i think even my dad was shocked...but my mom recovered quickly to say.. "do i look like i work here? go ask the girl over there, she works here.. "

Damn, that lady is one helluva rude.. she didn't even apologise, and just ignored us and asked for the girl...

She wasted some of the girl's time.. and finally decided on a pair of shoes.. she brought it to the counter and was getting ready to pay...

I didn't personally see what happened at the counter, as i was busy staring at a pair of prospective sandals, when i suddenly saw her rush out of the shop followed by her daughter who asked what was wrong..

Now, if you thought that the above was funny, or there's something wrong with her, when she thought my mom, who was so obviously trying on shoes to be a sales girl.. get this..

She said " i saw it wrongly, it's actually Rm128, not Rm28"

Okay, i was shocked the first round, and even more shocked the second round.. you mean you entered the Scholl shop without knowing that shoes here cost at least a hundred over?? I mean Scholl is well, a renown comfortable shoe brand, that has been around for years... AND i mean YEARS!! How could you not know it? Well, if you aren't from the city... that might explain it.. but still.....

My dad was saying.. "no wonder she only took out 30 bucks", and my mom was saying.. "yeah, i thought, why did she take out only 30? is it that cheap?"

Jokers some people are.. not to mention that she was rude...

Well, we had a little laugh with the sales girl who was a Malay, we translated the Cantonese for her.. and we just laughed a little..

Her ignorance wasn't the biggest factor here... i mean it was really amusing, and we had a good laugh... but her rudeness.. oh my gosh.. guess i just met one of the 94% of the rude Malaysians in the State of Selangor...

*Here's something i got in the mail to share, before i sign off..*

A survey asked..."Who are the happiest people?" There were four winning answers:
1. A craftsman or artist whistling over a job well-done.
2. A child building sand castles.
3. A mother bathing her baby.
4. A doctor who has finished a difficult operation and saved a life.

I personally think the last one, is the happiest :)
