granted that, i seem to spend my time doing other ermm.. not very beneficial things (except for entertainment value...) and because i cannot compare with what Raja Petra has written, so i have posted the links here, and my dear readers may read for themselves...
Elementary, Dear Watson
This article is about the NEP and the spoon feeding, exactly my sentiments when i spoke to my dad about the NEP, it is exactly just the spoon feeding which causes, the Malays to rely on UMNO, so that they can continue to generate votes from the Malay community. the NEP has made them so dependant..
but there is a slight contrast with my opinion as compared to Raja Petra though..
he stated that if the "mother" i.e. UMNO dies.. the "babies" i.e. the Malays die.. i don't think the Malays are that useless... i mean, i went overseas, and i have seen people who haven't even lifted a finger in their life, always being taken care by their parents; do everything for themselves.. yes there were a lot of mishaps.. and at times you get exasperated with them, thinking "oh my god! what on earth were they thinking" but they still learn, and they learn from those who know how to survive.. they had to learn the hard way, and their progress is initially slow, but over time, and with practise they got better...
not all the Malays are still stuck to the milk bottle, some especially those in the urban areas have weaned themselves of it.. and well if UMNO dies, they can just help those who were stuck to the baby bottle, to learn, make mistakes, and survive independently..
i say stop with the spoon feeding, it only produces individuals who don't know what they want, and who can't think for themselves. wean them off the bottle, and let them learn how to walk on their own two feet..
it won't hurt to prepare a safety net though, in case they fall, you can catch them.. but why do we fall? so we can learn to stand up again, and go forward.. that's how it should have been..
The NEP may have been crucial during the 1970's but the mistake the government did, just for their own selfish reasons were that, they did not bother to try to wean the baby of the bottle, even if it's step by step.... thus resulting in conundrum we are in today..

The Ugly Malaysian
What Raja Petra (henceforth known as RPK) says here is true, we are racist.. if you asked me, i will say that I'm racist.. (all Malaysians are somewhat racist, come one, admit it) i admit it.. but to a certain extent. I'm not that racist that i would not befriend someone who is not Chinese. I'm not racist enough to spit or trod over anyone who isn't Chinese, and asking them to go back to their homeland...
in fact, i was even telling other people, who are more racist than i, that:- what? you think all crimes are committed by Malays? there are crimes committed by the Chinese, and Indians as well.. just because we are Chinese, that doesn't mean other Chinese people won't commit crimes.. Chinese people aren't gods, we aren't perfect, we commit murder, robbery etc. too..
if i would call myself racist.. i would say that, my part in racism comes down to me finding my partner in life. somehow or rather, i love my oriental roots too much, to even consider marriage to anyone of another race, (unless they are oriental i.e. Chinese, or Japanese etc) that's the way i am..
but if you asked me to make friends, i will do so with other races, you want me to work with them, as long as they have good PR, leadership, and teamwork, i work with them...
i wonder if i can be really called a racist... that's why sometimes i do deny being a racist...
if you would like to refer to my pervert post.. then yes, I'm racist there, because only the Malays have harassed me. when i walk on the streets, i'm distinctly more wary of the Malays and Indians.. sometimes i wonder, can i help it? it seems to be something told to me from young, that mostly they are the ones who commit the crimes, and it's true, because more Chinese are educated and well to do and don't have to resort to crime, but a lot of Malays and Indians, are unemployed or uneducated and thus turn to crimes... see the root of the problem? again it's the lack of education, and whose fault is that i wonder??....
( this reminded me of an incident, where my UK friend called me a Malay, because he thought it was short for Malaysians, i admit, i wasn't happy with that, and in fact felt offended.. i wonder, is that a sign of being racist too? )
you will realise sooner or later, where this all stems from... but still when i am calm and rational, i just have to agree with RPK....

You Forgot who voted for you?
All this CM issues, the EXCO issues, has been getting on my nerves.. when the 20 NGOs came out and said that the Malays were being sidelines..(i heard it on the MSM news..) my initial thought was.."oh boy, here we go again.." it's like a freaking circus for crying out loud...
i mean as stated before. if i don't care who is the CM, i sure as hell don't care who are the EXCO, heck i don't even care if the PM is Chinese, Malay or Indian, as long as he is capable and looks after the interest of everyone... and well isn't corrupted..
i got kind of pissed when i heard of those NGOs and yesterday when one of the DAP members resigned because he felt that the Indians were being sidelined!! what they are doing, is playing the racial issue all over again.. aren't they sick of it? if they aren't i sure am.. the BR is playing the BN's game.. when during the election period they said "No" to the racial game.. sigh..
hopefully one of these days we can be truly Malaysians, and not Chinese Malaysian, or Indian Malaysian, or Malay Malaysian, but just Malaysian...
The Real Issue
Barisan rakyat, we voted you in, we can vote you out...

on another note. i was accused by ccy of copying other's ideas.. well, what can i say, i m not the only one who has this thoughts, and it so happens that i found a fellow blogger who shares 95% of my views. it's not bad isn't it, finding someone who shares you ideology and ideas..
though it's true that, sometimes i take others ideas to blog.. but hey, how do you think Shakespeare became famous? he took ideas from here and there, and he expanded it, and put in his own thoughts. And that's exactly what I'm doing...
